According to IMDb Betsy Rue has been cast for the role of Shawnelle for Season 2 Episode 1 of "True Blood" entitled "Nothing But the Blood". According to previous casting calls Shawnelle is a sexy 20-something bar patron who tries to propositions Jason (Ryan Kwanten) but fails and then sets her site on hooking up with Hoyt, not in the book. Betsy Rue's previous work includes appearances on CSI: Crime Scene Investigations, Las Vegas, The Heartbreak Kid and recently My Bloody Valentine.
