True Blood and Nelsan Ellis are the big winners at the NewNowNext Awards which were held at the Maritime Hotel in New York City on Friday, May 22. 2009.  The Awards show was taped and will be broadcast on June 13, 2009 on LOGO and logoonline.com. True Blood won in the category of Best Show You're Not Watching going against, Beautiful People (BBC/Logo), Damages (FX), Skins (BBC America), and Summer Heights High (HBO) Nelsan Ellis won in the category of Brink of Fame: Actor going against Aaron Yoo (Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist), Clementine Ford (The L Word), Cam Gigandet (Twilight), and Jasika Nicole (Fringe), and Simon Miller (Between Love and Goodbye).
