Stephen Moyer in New Movie - Tribes of October

Stephen Moyer from Alan Ball's hit HBO TV series True Blood is set to co-star with Ray Stevenson, Jaime King, Robert Duvall and James Caan, in a postapocalyptic thriller entitled "Tribes of October" directed and produced by Philippe Martinez. The movie "Tribes of  October" is set in the future where New York has become surrounded by an endless desert plagued by heat storms, and the city's technology is such that nothing made after 1960 works any more. In this harsh environment, a detective (Stevenson) goes after a Mafia don (Caan) who is going after the remnants of the NYPD, led by Duvall. The detective is simultaneously searching for the love of his life (King). Stephen Moyer will play a cynical and street-smart detective. The movie is budgeted at $25 million and the production company is setting their sights to begin filming in the summer of 2009 in Michigan with a worldwide release date of 2010.  The film will be using a greenscreen to create a unique look and distinct universe, with Phillippe Martinez flying to the Festival de Cannes to preview the first seven minutes of the CGI work. The film is being funded by various companies including Martinez's own company, Cinepro Pictures and Steelbridge Finance.  Karinne Behr, CEO of Finance in Motion, is executive producing and providing financial consulting services. Ray Stevenson has appeared in the "Punisher: War Zone," and HBO's "Rome" series and currently finished wrapping up "The Book of Eli" and "Cirque du Freak." Jaime King, represented by WMA, recently starred in Lionsgate's horror hit "My Bloody Valentine 3-D" and wrapped "Waiting for Forever" with Richard Jenkins. Stephen Moyer, is represented by ICM and Luber Roklin Entertainment and is currently starring in the HBO hit TV series True Blood as 173 year old vampire Bill Compton who returns to his hometown of Bon Temps, Louisiana  to "mainstream" with society and falls in love with a telepathic bar waitress named Sookie Stackhouse (played by Golden Globe winner Anna Paquin).

The two big stars Robert Duvall and James Caan, who are in final negotiations regarding the movie, will be working again together in a movie which has not occurred since their 1972 appearance in "The Godfather." Recently, Mr. Duvall appeared with Viggo Mortensen in the adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's "The Road," while James Caan will appear in Brett Ratner's segment of "New York, I Love You."
