Recently Carrie Preston attended the 35th Annual Saturn Awards where she was interviewed by both Fearnet.com and scifiwire.com. Carrie discussed in the interviews the popularity of True Blood and her love of the vampire genre. She stated in the interviews that her interest in the vampire genre began with Anne Rice's "Interview with Vampire" which lead her to read the rest of the books in the series. Carrie also mentionedthat she has read the entire "Twilight" series and Charlaine Harris' books starting with "Dead Until Dark" which Alan Ball's True Blood is based upon. Carrie stated that one of the main reasons why she starting read the Sookie Stackhouse series was to find out if her charcter lived or died. Enjoy the videos!
