Charlaine Harris was a special guest at the Tru Blood & Gold Ball in New Orleans, La on October 30. The Ball was sponsored by the Anne Rice Vampire Lestat Fan Club (ARVLFC) who reached out to True Blood and Sookie Stackhouse fans with vampire solidarity. Charlaine wore the special costume she had made for the occasion and was crowned "Queen of Louisiana" and was serenaded by "Bubba" himself.
