True Blood's Jim Parrack, who plays vampire Jessica's human squeeze Hoyt Fortenberry, has been cast in an independent film "Joint Body," produced by James Choi and Max Velez. He joins a cast of TV show alums, including his "Supernatual" cast mate Mark Pellegrino ("Lost") and Alicia Witt ("Friday Night Lights"). Mark stars in the film by writer and director Brian Jun as a parolee who is abandoned by his family. After saving a stripper's life, he faces challenges to his own freedom, including past demons. No word yet on what part Jim will play in the film, which starts shooting in Illinois next month. Check back for updates on Jim's role in this indie drama.
