Ryan Kwanten, who plays Jason Stackhouse in the hit HBO television series True Blood, has taken a break from vampires to take on other activities. For example, he recently appeared in a photo-shoot for 2Magazine earlier this year. The 32-year-old actor is also portraying a superhero in the new Aussie movie Griff The Invisible which he is now filming in Australia. The movie has started filming in Sydney and is a debut feature by writer and director Leon Ford. Kwanten, who plays Griff, works in an office by day and is a superhero by night. His world is turned upside down when he meets Melody (played by Maeve Dermody), a scientist who shares his passion for the impossible. Griff The Invisible is produced by Nicole O'Donohue, with executive producers Jan Chapman (The Piano) and Scott Meek (Velvet Goldmine). Griff The Invisible is expected to be released in late 2010. Director Leon Ford said: "It is a superhero movie and it is a comedy [...] But at its core it's a simple love story about two very unique individuals finding each other and giving the other strength to be what they want to be."Ryan Kwanten added:
