This past weekend in Hollywood was not just about celebrating great achievements in acting with the Screen Actors Guild Awards, but it was also about remembering the people who have been suffering in Haiti and helping them as much as possible. The Hope for Haiti Now telethon aired live on many networks Friday night, and then Sunday evening more relief money was raised during a Radiohead concert at the Henry Fonda Theater in Los Angeles. The band auctioned off about 1,000 tickets to the event on their website. Many big celebrities were in attendance, including True Blood couple Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer, Daniel Craig, Charlize Theron, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Justin Timberlake, and several others. All the proceeds from the show, over $570,000, went to Oxfam International to be distributed to victims of the earthquake. Anna and Stephen were photographed holding hands as they left the concert, and even signed some autographs for fans on the way out. It's great to see some of our beloved True Blood stars aiding those in desperate need in Haiti. They are helping spread awareness about the dire situation over there, and by their giving, encouraging us all to do what we can.
