It seems the volcanic eruptions in Iceland are affecting many people's flight plans including Alan Ball. Originally the creative genius behind HBO's hit vampire TV series True Blood was to attend the British Film Institute (BFI) in Southbank to celebrate all that is HBO. The BFI planned an entire weekend in honoring HBO for April 24th and 25th with Alan scheduled to take the stage on April 24th. Unfortunately, BFI reported that Richard Plepler, Michael Lombardo, Barry Levinson, Alan Ball and Larry David would not be able to participate in the HBO Weekender "due to the uncertainty created as a result of the recent disruption to European flights." Therefore there will be no planned on stage conversations with Alan Ball to discuss True Blood. Fortunately, BFI said it is working hard with HBO to re-schedule events later in the year and in the meantime are offering ticket holders refunds.
