As we mentioned before, there were rumors on the internet that
HBO was going to produce as series of
minisodes to tie
True Blood fans over until the premiere of
season 3. Well, it seems the rumors turned out to be true as during last night's broadcast of
season 2 of
True Blood,
HBO announced
six minisodes will air after each episode of
season 2 of
True Blood starting
May 2. The episodes are written be
Alan Ball and are "stand alone" stories that will not bee seen in
season 3. After watching the promo last night they seem to be "expansion stories" of what was happening in
season 2 and leading into
season 3. In one scene we see
Sookie carrying a box that looks like the box that held the lilac dress she wears in
episode 12 and
Tara asking her where does
Bill get all his money. Then we see a scene of
Bill answering the door of his home (wearing no shirt and the same brocade robe from his flashback scenes with
Lorena) to a well-dress older woman. In another scene we see
Eric and
Pam sitting at
Fangtasia and, possibly
Yvetta, walking up to them and
Pam taking a shine to her. As every
True Blood fan has learned the phrase by now, waiting sucks for the return of
True Blood. (Photo credit: HBO Inc., screencaps by James)
