Fans of Carrie Preston and Michael Emerson were star gazed and definitely not disappointed on Saturday, July 31st, with the couples stage appearance in Charleston. The real life married couple appeared at the Charleston Stage Dock Street Theatre for Summer Soiree where the couple performed a reading of A.R. Gurney's Love Letters. It was reported by the fans that the couple were spell binding and even brought a few to tears which resulted in a standing ovation for the couple. The Charleston Stage Associate Artistic Director Marybeth Clark did a question and answer time with Carrie and Michael after the reading. Fans were able to dine on blueberry lemonade with Vodka and melon skewers with Prosciutto. This sounds wonderful, listening to two lovers speak their love letters aloud on a hot summer night with melon and vodka, then count me in. After all the festivities, the couple with their fans were able to meet one on one, share stories, and ask questions at the after party at the house of John Dewberry. Of course we all know Carrie Preston from our favorite red headed waitress as Arlene Fowler on True Blood, and Michael Emerson her adorable husband from Lost.
