Anna Paquin who plays Sookie Stackhouse in Alan Ball's hit HBO TV series True Blood has been nominated for Best Actress in a Television Series for the 2009 Portal Awards. The 2009 Portal Awards International Nominating Committee spent months discussing and debating hundreds of possible nominees to get to the final list, and there were a lot of tough decisions across the board, however in the end Anna Paquin's name was added to the final nomination list. She will be completing against Eliza Dushku, "Dollhouse"; Mary McDonnell, "Battlestar Galactica"; Gretchen Mol, "Life On Mars"; and Catherine Tate, "Doctor Who."
