Charlaine Harris, the amazing author of the Sookie Stackhouse series, which the hit HBO show, True Blood, is based on, will be attending the third annual Writers for Readers event. She will be joined by some other great authors, such as Dorothy Allison, Lee Stringer, George Singleton, and Wells Tower. The event takes place on February 14th and 15th. The event will start on the 14th with a Gala Reception from 5pm - 7 pm in which attendees can meet the authors and eat food prepared from famous cookbook authors. Then on the 15th from 11 am - 1 pm, there will be a book luncheon. Charlaine will be speaking at the luncheon. These events will take place at the UNC President's House and the Carolina Inn, which are both located in Chapel Hill, NC. You may purchase tickets to this event here. The cost is $100.00 to attend the Reception on the 14th and $50.00 to attend the luncheon on the 15th. All proceeds from the event benefit the Orange County Literacy Council.
