Kevin Alejandro Ready For True Blood

Kevin Alejandro is keeping himself busy lately, not only playing the role of gangland police detective Nate Moretta on Southland but as True Blood's new love interest, Jesus Velasquez for Lafayette Reynolds (Nelsan Ellis). Kevin discusses briefly about who his character however remains tight-lipped about what his character is. Kevin states that the two characters that he is current portraying are completely different from each other and that is something that all actors wish to prevent being typecast.

"I'm introduced pretty early in this next season as a caretaker for Lafayette's mother, who's played by Alfre Woodard. I'm his love interest, and that's all I can say. It unwinds tremendously – I mean, you know True Blood. There's a lot of stuff going on. I got lucky. It's one of the shows that I watch and love, and now I get to be here."

As to whether his character is a vampire or not, all that Kevin would state is that he cannot say and he does not know himself.

"They're really good at keeping it secret from everyone. I think it's kind-of cool not knowing."
