Ryan Kwanten Takes First

Santa Monica has brought back an old tradition — Paddleboard racing. This tradition, which was most popular in the 1940's, was revived to great fanfare. This year, the Paddleboard race was presented by Honolulu Surf Co. and was a benefit for Heal the Bay. There were two races, the 5.1 mile race and the 1 mile run, both of which take competitors around the Santa Monica Pier. This event took place on June 12, 2010, and hosted over 200 paddlers! Amongst them was True Blood's own Ryan Kwanten, who participated in the 1 mile race, and took first place! Congratulations, Ryan, on a great job, and thank you for supporting Heal the Bay!
