True Blood's Sam Trammell participated in manning the phones for the Larry King Live: Disaster in the Gulf Telethon which was held on CNN on June 21, 2010 in Los Angeles. The telethon was a huge success raising more than $1.8 million to help with the clean-up operations in the Gulf of Mexico in the worst oil disaster in US history. Many celebrities came out to lend their support in the wake of this disaster including Justin Bieber, Ted Danson, Cameron Diaz, Kathy Griffin, Chelsea Handler, Randy Jackson, Kerry Kennedy, Lenny Kravitz, Jenny McCarthy, Tim McGraw, Alyssa Milano, Edward James Olmos, Victoria Principal, Robert Redford, Ian Somerhalder, Sting, Melania and Ivanka Trump, Pete Wentz with Ryan Seacrest The money raised in the telethon will benefit The United Way, the National Wildlife Federation and The Nature Conservancy Providing Immediate, Direct Support for Families, Residents and Wildlife Affected by Gulf Oil Spill. It is always great to see a cast member of True Blood lending their support to a great cause. Thank you Sam! Here is a clip from the telethon.
