Sam Trammell, best known as the shapeshifting bar owner of
Merlotte's in
Alan Ball's hit
HBO TV
vampire series
True Blood, attended the
2009 Oceana SeaChange Summer Party at Villa di Sogni, a private residence in Laguna Beach, CA on August 22, 2009.
Oceana is an international ocean conservation group that has been named by Kiplinger Magazine as "one of the 20 most efficient and effective environmental organization, and Charity Navigator awarded
Oceana its prestigious four out of four star rating. Less then one-quarter of the organizations evaluated by Charity Navigator have received this award." This year's honorees of
Oceana are Glenn Close and Morgan Freeman who were interviewed by MSN. As you watch the video you will see
Sam in the background having a discussion with someone. If they only had turned the microphone over to
Sam we would have been able to also enjoy what he had to say. It is nice to see the various cast members of
True Blood involved in various charities and giving back to society.
