One of our very own, Nelsan Ellis is going to be starring in a new Walt Disney Production. Nelsan Ellis plays the flamboyant and hilarious Lafayette, on HBO's True Blood. He will be starring in a Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures film 'Secretariat'. The movie is based on the 1973 Triple Crown winner. "Housewife and mother Penny Chenery (Diane Lane) agrees to take over her ailing father's Virginia-based Meadow Stables, despite her lack of horse-racing knowledge. Against all odds, Chenery - with the help of veteran trainer Lucien Laurin ( John Malkovich) - manages to navigate the male-dominated business, ultimately fostering the first Triple Crown winner in 25 years and what may be the greatest racehorse of all time."Nelsan Ellis will play Eddie Sweat, who is the Secetariat's groom. The cast also includes Dylan Wash (Nip/Tuck), Dylan Baker (Revolutionary Road), Otto Thorwarth (real horse jockey), Fred Thompson (Law and Order), Scott Glen (The Bourne Ultimatum), AJ Michalka, Kevin Connoly (Entourage), Eric Lange (Lost), and James Cromwell (24).
