Looking Back at Stephen Moyer in Perfect

Ever wonder what the cast of True Blood was up to before they joined the HBO series? What kind of movies and television shows were the cast members involved in or, more specifically, what was Stephen Moyer doing before he became Bill Compton? The Women Film Festival in London is taking True Blood fans back in time with a short featuring Stephen. On Thursday September 9th from 1:30-4:30, the festival has programmed back to back viewings of various shorts directed by women. On the list is Perfect, an award winning 14 minute horror short featuring Stephen Moyer before he had fangs, before he had the lovely Anna Paquin on his arm, and long before he was a household name. Along with Perfect, other shorts being played that day include: Lutz Heckelman und sein bier. Directed by Julianne Block (Germany), The Storymaker directed by Emma Rozanski (Australia), Breathe directed by Emma Passmore (UK), Entlaufen directed by Nina Pfeiferberger (Germany), 15 Seconds directed by Jessica Townsend (UK), Apparition directed by Sabina Vajraca (US), Short lease directed by Jennifer Eiss and Prano Bailey-Bond (UK) as well as the documentaries 'Ladyfilmine' directed by Giulia Vallicelli (Italy) and 'Music …by Gabriel Yared' directed by Rani Khanna. The Women Film Festival or Film Directing 4 Women International Festival (fd4w) is one week away, from September 9th-12th, at the Lost Theatre in London, which is a new state of the art venue situated on the Wandsworth Road (walking distance from Stockwell & Vauxhall tube stations). The theatre has a full-size cinema screen with a 180 seats, as well as 2 rehearsal spaces, workshop and foyer bar. Tickets can be purchased as a 4 day package or for a single day. Fd4w members get a discount and their 4 day film adventure is at £175, while non memebers will pay £245. For a single day ( which includes 1 workshop and 3 sessions of screenings from approx 10.30am – 7pm and  does not include access to the evening screening, Q&A or closing awards ceremony) members pay £35 and nonmembers pay £45. For workshops the member's price is £20 and the non-member's price is £25 If you simply want to pop in and enjoy a screening prices range between £5 and £14. For those of you interested in the screening that includes the short Perfect, members pay £8 and non member pay £10. If you want to see Perfect or any of the screenings, you'll have to purchase your tickets sooner rather than later; tickets are selling fast! The festival and fd4w is dedicated to making real contributions to the movement that demands 50% of films be directed by women. Founder Ruth Torjussen is not only a writer and director of her own shorts, but is also a teacher guiding women interested in directing. Co-coordinating the festival are Iria Estevez, a Spanish producer/director based in London, and Beatrice Ni Bhroin, who has worked in various film and TV production roles. Stephen before he was Bill...I think fans will be pleasantly surprised. Even when he was an unknown actor, he was still an amazing one.
