
No rest for the weary. One week after the
season three finale of
True Blood airs on
HBO,
Ryan Kwanten (aka
Jason Stackhouse) will be walking the red carpet at the premiere of his latest film,
Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole. According to a press release, the premiere for the
Warner Brothers film will be
Sunday, September 19th at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles, CA. Arrivals at 3pm and screening at 5pm PST. So far, announced appearances from the film's cast in addition to
Ryan Kwanten are Jim Sturgess, Anthony LaPaglia and the film's director Zack Snyder. Other celebrities expected to attend will be announced at a later time.
Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'hoole is based a book series by Kathryn Lasky. The movie focuses on the owl Soren who is fascinated by his father's tales of the Guardians of Ga'hoole. These mythical guardians rescued the whole owl kind from the "Pure Ones." Soren's brother Kludd (voiced by
Ryan Kwanten) doesn't buy the stories and a sibling rivalry culminates to a face-to-face meeting with the Pure Ones. It takes an adventurous owl like Soren to find the Guardians and help protect their kind.
Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole is set for a wide release on September 24th. Source:
