True Blood's Kristin Bauer Shares on WomensRadio

Kristin and Abri Talk About Music and Animals

Kristin and Abri van StratenKristin Bauer, True Blood's vampire Pam, and her husband, singer Abri van Straten gave a delightful interview to Brian Ball, the host of WomensRadio Music Review. Together, they discussed their careers, their past, and their shared love of animals. Because the show is really about music, Brian asked Abri about his upbringing and musical beginnings. Abri grew up in a creative family in South Africa, and learned guitar around the age of 9 or 10. It was actually his music that caught Kristin's attention. She noticed someone at her nutritionist's office listening to Abri's CD and through some old-school cyber stalking (Hello, MySpace!), Kristen boldly sent Abri an email asking him out. They married later that year. Not to worry, Truebies. Brian got in a few questions for Eric's darling protege. Kristin confirmed that the day of the interview, she was already in for her first wardrobe fitting for season 4. That's right -- it's already begun! Kristin and Abri mentioned they're looking to host a concert to benefit an animal charity in January or February in L.A. Animals are a shared passion for the couple. They currently have two dogs (rescued from the pound) and two kittens (orphaned). Right now, they're running a special package on amazon.com with Abri's solo album where proceeds go to the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW). Brian asked the pair if they had any advice for those looking to break into the entertainment industry.  Abri - everyone is individual, so find out who you are and tell your own truth. Kristin - Something to do if nothing else interests you. So many ups and downs, you gotta really want to do it. Nothing else is a close second.
