Sam Trammell Co-hosts the Charity Event in Hollywood
Sam Trammell, who plays shapeshifter Sam Merlotte on True Blood, is an avid surfer, swimmer, and defender of the world's oceans. His love and respect for the water was very apparent on Saturday, November 13th, when he co-hosted an event for Actors for Oceans Charity, Project Save our Surf. Fellow True Blood cast members Michelle Forbes (Maryann Forrester) and Natasha Alam (Fangtasia dancer Yvetta) also came out to show their support. Trammell looked very casual and relaxed before heading into the crowded event and commented:"...hopefully the more awareness and education we can raise, the more people, I think, will decide not to destroy it (the ocean)."Trammell also gave the crowd a little taste of his musical talent when he sat down with his acoustic guitar alongside Project Save our Surf's member Keaton Simmons. Trammell's former co-star, Michelle Forbes, has been on her own crusade to protect the environment:
"It's important to protect our oceans, our marine wildlife, our wildlife, our land. It's so important it's the only world we have and my heart breaks when I think what we have done to it. It's also important that we give up plastic bottles – no more plastic bottles! It is killing our oceans, it is killing us, as a matter of fact, so that's something I'm really focused on these days. Looking at our water, our oil spills and the plastic involve – it's utterly gutting, heartbreaking."Alam wowed the crowd in a form-fitting little black dress and gushed about how the ocean is very meditative for her. Did any Truebies attend the event? If so, let us know how it went in the comments! Source: FashionPatrol.com — Actors for Oceans Charity Event with Sam Trammell (Photo Credit: A.S. Carr)
