Stephen Moyer Glamours Many Fans

HOLLYWOOD — Stephen Moyer, who portrays the civil war veteran who became a vampire, has a legion of followers who can't get enough of vampire Bill Compton. Moyer who fell in love with his on screen love, Anna Paquin, who plays the lead role as Sookie Stackhouse, is a classically trained actor who has been instrumental in saving HBO as well as making Alan Ball's "True Blood" series one of the most popular vampire shows in television history. Moyer is very modest and always gracious to his fans.

He then trained at LAMDA and began his professional acting career on stage, including two years with the RSC "Romeo & Juliet," "The Thebans," "Columbus," touring in "Romeo & Juliet" with the Oxford Stage in the title role of Romeo, and in the world premiere of Pete Townsend's rock opera "The Iron Man" at The Young Vic. British television credits include leading roles in Channel 4 dramas "Men Only," "NY-LON," "Five's Menace" and the BBC's "The Grand," "Lilies" and "Empathy," as well as a number of guest roles in popular shows such as "Cold Feet," "Midsomer Murders" and "Waking the Dead."

Both are very standup men who seek acceptance like all of us do in this world. I really enjoy Stephen Moyer's performance and I enjoyed last season, but really wish they had focused more on my two favorites." Tony is not alone. In response to Canyon News' recent "True Blood: Team Madness" story, Nia stated, "I am a very big Bill/Stephen fan and I also have great respect for Alex/Eric and the rest of the cast. I have never believed in the 'teams' and the animosity that generates. So I like to think of myself as….Team True Blood!" While Aussie Lizzie says, "Good on you Tommy!! YES! YES! YES! for Stephen 'Bill' Moyer! The hunkiest man alive! That man has glamoured me more than anyone else has! I was the best Trekker and loved Spock/Leonard Nimoy with a passion for all these years and whamo!! Along comes this sultry, smoldering guy with the sexiest bluest eyes and I am a gonna!!!!! I think of him day and night and that makes me so happy! I hope Alan Ball [Show's creator] will retain Bill as a hunk as he was at the end few episodes! I hope they give him better hair! Bring back the Henleys!! Dress him in black!!! Give him back his pizzazz!! Give that Eric a run for his money!! Thank you again Tommy. [Sic]" Nia who watches the show says, "I am such an avid fan of True Blood. It has glamoured me as no other show has or probably ever will. It has taken the 'life' out of every other show for me. Nothing else compares. I am very much in agreement with Lizzie though, my sister in all things Stephen Moyer, that we are so fortunate to have Stephen, as Bill, on True Blood. He has been my muse this last year. He has brought me back to life and has awakened something in me! He is the main reason I watch True Blood, not the only, but the main. Sorry but I have to admit that it is true." A fan who goes by the nickname Crazy For Bill stated on the TBNET fan-site, "I just wanted to put my two cents' worth in. I love Bill Compton and think Stephen is an amazing actor. That doesn't mean I hate Eric. Can't we just all be Team True Blood? My mother always taught me that if I couldn't say anything nice about someone, I shouldn't say anything at all, so I don't want to diss any other character. I do love the entire ensemble cast, and Alan Ball truly is a creative genius of the first order." Stephen Moyer is currently working on "Ice," "The Caller," "Master Class," "Priest" and "Open House." With "True Blood" set to began filming season three in a couple weeks, he can expect to gain more fans to glamour. SOURCE:  Tommy Garrett at Canyon News (Photo credit:  HBO Inc.)
