Michael Ausiello from EW.com is reporting that for Season 3 of True Blood tony-nominated actress J. Smith-Cameron will play the role of Sam Merlotte's estranged mother, Melinda Mickens. Melinda is described in casting calls as a dirt-poor, hungover and trashy looking woman. L. Smith-Cameron has also appeared on Law & Order, Six Degrees, and K Street. With all the casting news coming out the anticipation is growing for season 3!
