Fans eagerly awaiting HBO's new series Game of Thrones were treated to a brand-new trailer this weekend, and it was full of exciting reveals. There were extensive views of the Iron Throne, the much contested, yet remarkably uncomfortable, throne of the ruler of Westeros. The trailer is a round of musical chairs, except there is only one seat, and all the players want it. CerseiLannister (Lena Headey), Jaimie Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage), Robert Baratheon (Mark Addy), Jon Snow (Kit Harrington), Eddard Stark (Sean Bean), Catelyn Stark (Michelle Fairley), and Petyr Baelish (Aiden Gillen) all take their turns at the throne. Now, we don't know which of them is actually vying for the seat (unless, of course, you have read George R.R. Martin's epic novels) but there is clearly some tension amongst all of them. This must be the most terrifying throne ever - and yet it is a much desired place of honor. The throne has just as much of a role in the books as do the main characters, and it certainly looks like HBO is sticking with that theme. The ever beautiful and talented Kristen Bauer Van Straten (Pamela Swynford De Beaufort) was spotted at the Art of Elysium Heaven Gala on January 15, 2011 along with husband Abri Van Straten. Fellow True Blood co-star Joe Manganiello (Alcide Herveaux) was also in attendance looking quite debonair with fiancée Audra Marie at his side. Kristin and Joe attended the event for the Art of Elysium Foundation which was created in 1997. Its purpose is to bring children who are dealing with serious medical conditions together with actors, artists, and musicians who in turn provide the children with workshops in disciplines such as acting, art, music, and fashion. For the Second Year in a Row, the Sexy Drama Nabs a Nom for Outstanding Producer
As Hollywood continues to march its way through awards season, which begins Feb 27th with the Academy Awards, industry heavyweights continue to announce their nominations. The latest being the Producers Guild of America (PGA), which has nominated our favorite vampire drama, True Blood, for the Norman Felton Award for Outstanding Producer of Episodic Television, Drama. Three howls for Alan Ball! TheProducers Guild Awards celebrates the finest producing work of the year, and gives the Guild an opportunity to honor some of the living legends who have shaped the profession. The 2011 Producers Guild Awards will be hosted by Judd Apatow on Saturday, January 22nd at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. A teaser trailer has been released for the new film, "Water for Elephants," in which James Frain, known as True Blood psychotic vampire sleuth Franklin Mott, plays an elephant trainer. "Water for Elephants" is based on the novel by the same name. It focuses on a popular traveling circus act. The movie stars Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson. When asked if Frain discussed vampire tips with the Twilight star, he says, no, it didn't come up. Frain tells British press:
"My scenes were with Robert Pattinson but I'm sorry to say we didn't swap vampire stories. I wish we had."

Tonight is the People's Choice Awards, which means fans of True Blood will get to see Stephen Moyer (Bill Compton), as he's confirmed to attend, along with tons of other celebrities.
