Hits Theaters in April 2011

It was recently revealed that Anna Paquin filmed a cameo along with Kristen Bell in the highly anticipated horror movie 'Scream 4'.  Below is a picture that ComingSoon.net has added of Paquin and Bell, to their growing photo gallery for the flick.  Wes Craven directs the sequel and the stars of the previous films, Neve Campbell, David Arquette, Courteney Cox Arquette, are all back again.  It is scheduled to be released April 15, 2011 and is expected to be a big hit!

Marshall Allman is in a New Movie

Tommy Mickens is Ready to Roll

A new movie, going by the name of 'Sugar', is about to go into production by Village Entertainment. Marshall Allman, who plays Tommy Mickens in Season 3 of HBO's TV series True Blood has been cast in it. The movie is loosely based on the life of Rotimi Rainwater, the owner of Village Entertainment. He will be making his directorial debut on this movie using a script that he co-wrote with Tony Aloupis. Ali Palitz from All Is Well Films will co-produce it. The producers have partnered with 'My Friend's Place,' which is a nonprofit organization that provides valuable resources such as food and education to the homeless. The movie will be shot in part on location at 'My Friend's Place' and they hope to raise much needed funds for this wonderful organization. Other stars of the movie will include Shanae Grimes who played Annie Wilson in '90210' and Darcy Edwards from 'Degrassi: The Next Generation.' Grimes will play the role of a post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)  sufferer who is living on the streets of Venice Beach, CA.

They are still looking for a male who can play a 21 year old and is an excellent skate boarder. Seen on E!Online's Watch with Kristin column: @Shanwink (via Twitter): True Blood goss! Episode two of season four (which premieres Sunday, June 12!), is set at Fangtasia and called "You Smell Like Dinner." Fangbanger smorgasbord, anyone? A source on set also told me they are building some sort of bakery and/or pie shop for the upcoming season three. Oh God. Maybe Strawberry Shortcake's nemesis is the new big bad?! They're also building a "weird looking metal shack" and allowing Sam (Sam Trammell) to go more grey this season. You heard it here first, people! (Sorry if we just ruined the whole season for you.)

Filming for Season 4 of HBO's hit show True Blood begins this week and we have more news!  The title of the second episode will be "You Smell Like Dinner".  Could Sookie be on the menu again?  In addition, a casting call has been sent out for the following characters in this episode.  [CALLUM] British bartender seen in flashback to London in 1982. He bartends in a punk underground nightclub... [MALE PROTESTOR #1] This male protestor, 5'8" tall at most, pickets Fangtasia and starts a physical fight with a "fangbanger"... [MALE PROTESTOR #2] Another male protestor picketing Fangtasia, he captures a confrontation on his smart phone... [LUTHER] An older, backwoods, inbred man at the compound, he is Timbo's uncle... Jace Everett Talks About His Success Thanks to True Blood

Everyone's Favorite Vampire Track

It's amazing to think that only three short years ago, Jace Everett was not so well known. But with the use of his now famous track 'Bad Things,' Jace has now become a household name in the vampire scene.

Gabrielle Faust from The Examiner was lucky enough to interview Jace Everett on his success and how this all came about. 

When asked about how he managed to wrangle his song onto the hit HBO show, he showed he certainly has a sense of humor about his fame:

I donated a kidney to Alan Ball's cousin. He felt like he owed me one. If only it were so easy! To keep it brief, Alan Ball had downloaded "Bad Things" in 2006 as an iTunes single of the week. When the show came up, he gave it a whirl and it stuck.

True Blood and Other Influences

While Jace has made some money from the use of his track in True Blood, he is quick to point out that it is not a huge amount of cash. But it is enough to allow him to be more fearless in his field.

Nashville had kind of warped my mind about what you COULD write. The success of the show and my affiliation with it has helped free me from that narrow view

Everett also had plenty else to say about what inspires him, along with his greatest influences.  He lists Willie and Waylon, U2, Chris Rea, Chris Whitley, Daniel Lanois, Mark Knopfler and Chuck Prophet as some of his greatest musical influences.

He also lists boy/girl interactions, politics and religion as some of his other inspirations for song writing. Even the show True Blood inspires him, since he wrote the song 'Burn for You' after watching Bill catch on fire in an episode of the hit TV show.

'Red Revelations' and What's Next For Jace

When asked to describe his latest album, 'Red Revelations,' Jace had this to say about it:

It's a swampy, dirty slice of rock and roll; which to me is equal parts country, blues, rock, and blood.

And it seems that the music from this album just may turn out to be just as iconic as 'Bad Things,' with the track 'One of Them,' being used in the upcoming film MindFLUX.

When asked about his plans for 2011, Jace was eager to let everyone know that he will be touring in the UK and EU in the late spring and early summer. Then it will be back to the US for even more touring.

Finally, when Jace was asked by interviewer Gabrielle Faust for any closing thoughts. And in true Jace-style, his reply was:

Don't let the bastards suck the life outta ya! (Unless, of course, you're into that!)

Ryan Kwanten, who plays Jason Stackhouse on True Blood, sat down with Red Hill writer and director, Patrick Hughes, and made a special video message for Red Hill's Facebook fans. The two Aussies seem like old buddies, teasing and poking fun at one another for the majority of the short clip, but still managing to slip in some details about the movie, which opened to a wide release in the U.S. on November 25, 2010. True Blood's Rutina Wesley Glams it up in Edge Magazine

Rutina Talks About Her Influences and Making it Big

Rutina Wesley (Tara Thornton) talked to Edge Magazine recently about growing up in Vegas, it's effect on her style, her parents and Julliard. Rutina grew up in Las Vegas and credits both her great taste and style to her mother, a professional dancer.  Rutina's style is New York to the core and she admits that she feels like despite some risk taking in her fashion she has a good sense of what makes good and bad fashion.  Some of her favorite designers include: Jean Paul Gaultier, Tadashi, and Stacey Bentley to name a few.

Acting Inspiration

When asked which actresses Wesley modeled herself after she names Julia Roberts, Angela Bassett, Meryl Streep and others.  She respects that they always carry themselves with dignity and class while having mastered the art of acting.

On Tara

When asked about the grit, strength and vulnerability of Tara, Rutina tries to bring it from an honest place.  She says:

"I'll just take myself to these dark places and use my imagination, to picture what it would be like to grow up in a home that was abusive and volatile, try to think of how that would make me feel. I do always try to come from a place of honesty and humanity, because I don't want it to be too over-the-top."

She also credits the amazing writers of True Blood for giving her a sense of where she should be heading with Tara.

Getting Started in Acting

Acting was not Rutina's first love. Much like her parents it was dance (check out The Way She Move for some of her amazing dancing). She chose acting because it allowed her more freedom with options such as musicals and theater.  She later got into Julliard by performing all her Shakespeare monologues! She recounts the time as being hard but rewarding having made lifelong friends, meeting her husband and working on her craft.  He father was also there to help her. She recalls that he was always making sure she was reading what she signed and making sure she had a lawyer.

Her Big Break

Rutina says she was driving out of a Starbucks parking lot when she found out she got the part of Tara on True Blood.  Nelsan Ellis, who plays Lafayette, recommended Rutina for the part and she says she almost crashed her car when she got the call.  Always humble, when asked if it's fun being a celebrity she responded with:

" It's fun. Although I still have a hard time considering myself a celebrity. But in this business if you are being recognized for what you do, it's a sign that you are doing well. And so far, it has been very good to me and I am enjoying it. I consider myself fortunate."

Fan Favorite Joe Manganiello Scores In the Annual Men of the Year Issue:

GQ Magazine has a long history of stylish, handsome, and intelligent men gracing their pages so it's no surprise that Joe Manganiello, who plays True Blood's hottest new werewolf Alcide Herveaux, was included in GQ's annual Men of the Year issue celebration. GQ rounded up some of the most sought and lusted-after actors in Hollywood where they gathered at the Chateau Marmont in LA to celebrate. Though the night's focus was on honoring all the Hollywood men who achieved greatness in 2010 while looking hot, the party included plenty of gorgeous people of both sexes. Alongside Manganiello, was fellow onscreen werewolf Taylor Lautner as well as Lautner's costar, Kellan Lutz, who portrays a vampire.  Not supernatural, but super-charming, were James Franco, who was sporting a mustache for his new role, and James Marsden. All the guys looked exceptionally handsome for the black carpet event with most clad in suits and ties tailored to show off their best assets. Though it still may be months before we can enjoy 'Alcide  Herveaux' on True Blood, with events like these, ladies will get to see plenty of Joe Manganiello before True Blood returns to our a television screens next year. Janina Gavankar Excited to Play 'Luna' in Season 4 of True Blood

Janina Gavankar has just been cast as a series regular playing Luna, 'a super-sexy public school teacher and shapeshifter,' in Season 4 of HBO's hit show True Blood. Then at nights I cook at Merlotte's bar where all the local necks hang out. So now I'm branchin' out and I'm goin' to be Bon Temps version of da BAM! man. I mean no one has more Bam! Bam! Bam! than 'lil ole me! And I kin cook too! Every week or so I'm going to teach y'all to make food good enough to melt even Nan Flanagan's heart. Bon Chika Wow Wow – Appetit! Jive Turkey Sloppy Joes Child, youse know dat Turkey Day right around da corner. And you know down here, we gon get full off dat fried bird. We gon have Nettie Mae's macaroni and cheese, Tara's green bean casserole, Sam's potato salad, Arlene's pumpkin pie, and Jason gon bring da dressing. I don't know how well he gon do wit dat, but we gon give it a try. It's his second Thanksgiving without Grams, so you know he gon be missing her. And you remember what happened last year wit Andy and dat fried turkey. He darned near burned my whole property down, so you just know he ain't got no invite to bring no food – we just told him to show up and fix himself a plate and we gon handle da cookin. Heffers, I know y'all finna sit down da day after Thanksgiving to tryna figure out what you gonna do wit all dat leftover turkey. Turkey gumbo, turkey po-boys – well you get da picture. Well, ya boy gonna let you know whatcha can do wit da leftovers and yo family gonna love it.

Ingredients: 5 cups of leftover turkey ½ bottle of BBQ sauce ¼ cup of mustard 1/8 stick of butter 2 tablespoons of grape jelly Creole seasoning Throw all dem ingredients into dat Crock Pot and mix dem together well. Simmer on low for 5 hours. What youse can do is put dat in ya Crock Pot when you head over to da mall on Friday. By da time you get back in from all dat beatin da pavement, ya food gonna be ready to serve. Let dat mix cook all day and den serve dat on some French bread, toast, hamburger buns, or for you Yankees up north, hoagie buns.

Queen Sophie-Anne's House For Sale!

Not only does the home look like a Hollywood star's palace--it actually has been in a number of films and television shows besides True Blood. One must admit though, the home truly got a 'star turn' when it was featured in multiple episodes of True Blood as Queen Sophie-Anne's 'palace.' After all the location scouting I have done over the years, in my opinion, nothing even comes close to the amount of detail that went into this pool house. We all just stood there and took the room in the first time we went there, and pictures don't even begin to do it justice. The statues, chandeliers, chair rail and ceilings are all made out of a variety of various sizes of seashells and corals. It is astounding, and we could never accomplish this on our budget, and time frame. It is truly breathtaking and exquisite.

True Blood's Brujo is on Newsstands Now!

Hailed as the "Sexy Man of the Week", True Blood star Kevin Alejandro (Jesus Velasquez)  has joined several other outstanding True Blood specimens gracing People Magazine's pages. They include Joe Manganiello, Alexander Skarsgård, Ryan Kwanten and Stephen Moyer who each made People's 100 Sexy Men 2010 list.  In case you are curious (admit it, you are!) you can see the entire list of the 100 here . Mariana Klaveno to Guest Star on Criminal Minds Spinoff

She was bad. She was angry. She was jealous. Oh, let's face it, she was totally crazy. Lorena Krasiki, vampire Bill's maker on True Blood, was the definition of a woman scorned. Up until her true death, she exhibited behavior that was disgraceful and full of venom, mostly driven by her undying love for Bill Compton. The woman behind Lorena, Mariana Klaveno, has taken on a new machiavellian role with a guest stint on on CBS' forthcoming spinoff Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior. Klaveno will play Veronica, a spotlight-hungry hellraiser who excels at manipulating the opposite sex. Hmmm, sound familiar? Klaveno can obviously do crazy very well, so we have no doubts she'll put on a great performance as Veronica. Will you tune in to witness Lorena 2.0? True Blood Stars to Attend West Coast Fundraiser

When they're not working on True Blood, the cast of the show is busy trying to save the world. Kristin Bauer van Straten, who plays the feisty vampire Pam, and Joe Manganiello, who plays the newest werewolf in Bon Temps, Alcide Herveaux, will both make a special guest appearance at Trevor Live at the Hollywood Palladium. The West Coast fundraiser is presented by the Trevor Project and the night will revolve around laughter, music as well as awards for life saving projects the organization prides itself in. The Trevor Project will continue its tradition of honoring both an individual and corporation the positive impact and commitment in understanding the LGBTQ community. The special honorees this year are Kathy Griffin and Levi's. Adam Shankman will be the night's special guest show director and musical appearances will be made by a number of performers including Queen Latifah. The evening is divided into three sections: 3:30 - 5:00 pm Pre-reception Silent Auction and Hosted Bar, 5:00 - 6:00 pm Dinner Service, and 6:00 - 8:00 pm Trevor Live Show. Although tables are sold out, there is a waiting list. Even better, the Cabaret Tables are still available. For $400, guests receive 4 tickets to the show, which includes the pre-reception silent auction and hosted bar. For individual tickets, although the Titanium tickets are sold out, there are 7 tickets left in the Platinum level as well as individual tickets under the Gold, Silver and Cabaret sections. Continent-Hopping Kwanten Hits The AMA Red Carpet

'No Musical Talent Whatsoever'

Though his physical assets are obvious,  the good-natured Ryan Kwanten says he was 'blessed with no musical talent whatsoever.'  In a brief interview at the 2010 American Music Awards, True Blood's Jason Stackhouse says even so, 'he adores things' like the AMA's held in Los Angeles at the Nokia Theatre on November 21. The low-key Aussie actor made quite a splashy red carpet appearance looking casually stylish in a slim-fitting black dress shirt and gray pants topped by a matching fedora perched jauntily on his head and finished off with a matching tie. In a short interview with the Awards Show Network, the seemingly everywhere-at-once, continent-hopping Kwanten said he was most looking forward to seeing musical collaborations at the AMA's, such as those of Santana and Gavin Rossdale. It seems of all the sexy, True Blood bachelors, Ryan Kwanten really puts himself "out there." He seems a truly nice guy--a sort of Aussie/Sam Trammell, if you know what I mean. I like getting to know the guy behind the character of Jason Stackhouse. Ryan Kwanten is definitely not Jason other that on the surface, that's for sure.
