Kristin Bauer Has Pam's Personality

Like her witty, sarcastic vampire character, Kristin Bauer admitted to ALIVE Magazine that she has pretty much been defiant and insubordinate much of her life. When she got the role as Pam on HBO's hit series True Blood, Kristin was delighted.  "Great!  I get to be sarcastic, witty, in great clothes killing people.  I'm there." While in art school at Washington University, Kristin did very poorly in the classes she didn't like but excelled in the ones she enjoyed.  Her attitude carried over outside the classroom and she could only keep a job for two weeks before getting fired.  But now, True Blood will be starting its 3rd year (June 13) and Kristin's Pam is still co-owner of the vampire bar Fangtasia. Acting was not in Kristin's original plans.  She wanted to play rock 'n roll guitar.  But in the 90's she was approached on a Los Angeles street and offered an acting role.  That original ambition, however, is not lost to her.  In August of 2009 she married South African guitarist, singer and songwriter Abri van Straten. In the interview, Kristin said that since her character is not in the 3rd book of the Sookie Stackhouse series (on which True Blood is based), she has to wait for the new scripts to learn what comes next. When she was asked which of Pam's vampire powers she finds most alluring, Kristin answered "I'll go for the immortality - I'll go for getting to stick around awhile."  Without botox. Interview: Dawn Olivieri - "True Blood's" New Werewolf

The role of Janice Herveaux goes to actress Dawn Olivieri as season three of HBO's "True Blood" -- starting June 13 -- brings more supernatural beings into the open, with werewolf Alcide Herveaux (Joe Manganiello) and his sister making appearances. According to an interview with Runway Fashion Magazine, Olivieri has a raw talent that has her rising in the industry with her portrayals of edgy, mysterious, strong female characters. Her credits include 10 television projects, including "How I Met Your Mother" and HBO's "Entourage."  She appeared in the NBC series "Heroes" in its fourth season and did the voice of Pepper Potts in the animated series, "Avengers."  This year she's added at least three films to her resume, including "Drop Dead Gorgeous" and "Dozers."  And this summer, watch for Dawn's debut appearance as Janice in "True Blood's" fourth episode titled "9 Crimes." Now for some insight into this actress from her runwaylive.com interview. Olivieri said she's had several special experiences as an actress that she considers achievements.  But rather than keep track of each one, she tries to stay humble and enjoy each moment she has in the profession she loves. She has not had formal acting training and although it comes naturally, Olivieri refers to herself as a sponge and continues to absorb and learn. When asked what she does for fun, Olivieri responded that she loves the outdoors and travelling. She keeps fit with outdoor sports and activities, such as camping, hiking, some rock climbing and playing beach volleyball. She also enjoys painting, playing the guitar, photography and working with animals. Several of the responses Olivieri gave to her interviewer were down to earth. Finding endless possibilities for the future, she has no real plans and she values her dreams, memories, challenges and everything else she has in her head. She lives in the moment and seems to truly enjoy her life. With regard to advice for those trying to break into show business, Olivieri says to tap into what sets you apart from everyone else. In other words, be you. Alexander Skarsgard's "Beyond the Pole" Wins Best Comedy

True Blood's Alexander Skarsgard is guest starring in "Beyond the Pole" which is a small independent film directed by David Williams, but it is taking over the film festival circuit! It started for Williams as a Facebook effort, and now the fan page for the movie has nearly 5,000 fans.  The movie was recently shown at the London Independent Film Festival where it won Best Comedy. So far the film has racked up eight awards at various film festivals throughout Europe and America. Williams had this to say about the film and its success:
"It's so rare for British comedies to win over fans and critics but 'Beyond the Pole' seems to be doing just that. Critics have compared it to a cross between 'The Office' and 'Touching the Void,' which is very flattering, but in all honesty I don't think there's been a film like it. It's funny, moving, very dark in places and the performances from the actors are career bests. I think the industry is gradually waking up to the fact that they've got a genuinely independent feature here that is funny and to be cherished and I really hope the actors get the credit they deserve when BAFTA season comes round!"
Besides Alexander Skarsgard, the film also stars Stephen Mangan, Rhys Thomas and Helen Baxendale, who is also the executive producer of the film. "Beyond the Pole" will be screened next at the Los Angeles United Film Festival on May 1 at 7 pm. Williams will also be at the event to answer questions for the screening.  If you would like to purchase tickets for this event you can do that here. True Blood Almost had Alternate Opening Song

The opening sequence of True Blood has become an integral and recognizable aspect of the show. For fans, the sequence is a humorous mixture of menace, sexuality, and of course, anticipation. Interestingly, the use of Jace Everett's "Bad Things" was originally just a temporary track that Alan Ball liked, while Gary Calamar, the music supervisor for True Blood, searched for the perfect song. This little tidbit of information was discussed at the Sync Up Conference in New Orleans that ran simultaneously to Jazz Fest as a local professional-development outreach endeavor by the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Foundation. Gary Calamar's panel, "Creating Music For Film and Television", included Treme music supervisor Blake Leyh, Better Than Ezra's Kevin Griffin, and "Icons Among Us: Jazz in the Present Tense" producer, John W. Comerford. While the visuals were created for the opening sequence by Digital Kitchen, it was up to Calamar "to find the song," while Jace Everett's "Bad Things" was considered just a temporary track. Calamar discussed that C.C. Adcock, a New Orleans Jazz Festival favorite, was in the running with his song "Bleed 2 Feed", which Adcock submitted himself. Calamar notes:
He's a great musician and a great - I don't know if hustler is the right word -- hustler in the best sense of the word.
Of course, as we all know, "Bad Things" went from being a temporary placeholder to one of the most recognizable aspects of the show. Luckily, C.C. Adcock's song was later used in the first-season's soundtrack. In the end, True Blood fans received the best possible outcome: "Bad Things" as our episodic sing-a-long and "Bleed 2 Feed" on the soundtrack Calamar facilitated. Andrew Paquin Interviewed about Open House

With the Tribeca Film Festival currently going on in New York, Andrew Paquin speaks about his directorial debut, Open House. Thanks to his True Blood connection (namely, his sister and future brother-in-law being the stars), Andrew's film features Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer in cameo roles. The cast also includes the very talented Brian Geraghty from The Hurt Locker and Battlestar Galactica's Tricia Helfer. Andrew described in an interview how he came up with the concept for the movie and what he learned from his first filmmaking experience. Open House is a psychological thriller about a woman trying to sell her house, when one of the prospective buyers hides out in the basement and takes her captive at night. Andrew explains that the point of the film was to alter horror conventions:
"The first act of our film could be a standard home invasion horror, [but] I wanted to find out what would happen if you turned that kind of a construct on its head. Instead of the monsters wear[ing] a mask through the whole movie, what happens if you de-mask the monsters much earlier and you end up seeing the world through their eyes?"
Recounting the story of how Brian Geraghty came to play the role of David, Andrew calls it "crazy good luck with casting." He also describes the filmmaking process as a great opportunity for active collaboration:
"You have to guide people with a clear vision, but I think more than anything you have to simply understand how to enable people who really know what they're doing in an expert kind of way."
Because they filmed Open House in only one location--Andrew's own home--the movie has a definite sense of claustrophobia throughout. Andrew says he and his production team looked at other films that were shot primarily indoors, including Alan Ball's Academy Award-winning American Beauty, to see how to keep the setting visually interesting. Reviews from those who have seen screenings of Open House this week are largely positive, praising the performances and the change of perspective from the victim to the predator. For these reasons, and for the scenes with Anna and StephenTrue Blood fans should keep an eye out for when it becomes widely available to see! SOURCE: tribecafilm.com (Photo credit: tribecafilm.com)

True Blood's Alexander Skarsgard revealed a little bit about True Blood Season 3 in regards to his character, vampire Eric Northman and his father, King Ulfrick during his press conference at the Tribeca Film Festival. It seems Alexander was caught off guard as he explained that his character Eric will be dealing with the theme of vengeance.  Now the reporters at the press conference pressed on and inquired if it had something to do with his dad King UlfrickAlexander responded by stating:
"Oh man! How do I get out of this weird situation?" he asked sarcastically about our query. "[The season] is about vengeance — I can't say what — but yeah, something happened when Eric was still human a thousand years ago. TrueBloodNet.com's Interview with Twitter's Tara Thornton @Tara_ThorntonBT

The wait for Season 3 of True Blood is still taking forever for many fans, even though the wait is actually getting shorter. As many of you know, I recently stumbled upon an amazing group of Twitter roleplayers, and they've been incredibly kind to me, allowing me to interview them. After seeing how well my interview with Sookie and then my interview with Bill went, Tara Thornton @Tara_ThorntonBT decided that I could add her to my list of interviewees! Thanks for being open to the interview! Isis: Hey Tara, great to have you tonight! @Tara_ThorntonBT: I'm happy to be here! Now can we please get started? I'm really excited for this. Isis: You got it! I'd love to know why you role play and what got you into it. @Tara_ThorntonBT: I got into role playing on Facebook last year when I first got hooked on True Blood. This was around May of last year. I found a group of role players that were looking for characters. So I sent them a message and they asked me some questions and gave me TaraThornton. The big joke with that character is that my real life name is Tara and my real life hubby's name is JB. A little ironic *laughs* Isis: Yes, but that's also really cool! Tara Roleplayer (Tara): The original group I role played with is still around but I left and decided to go to Twitter and now here I am. Isis: Cool. How do you like this current group? @Tara_ThorntonBT: This group has some absolutely amazing minds in it. We all work so well together. If it's story ideas, we have some amazing writers and imaginations, let it be web designers who can make amazing webpages and backgrounds for us or just some real awesome role players who fit the parts well! Isis: Sounds like you've found a place in the role play, and it works so well for you! Have you ever been anyone besides Tara in role play? @Tara_ThorntonBT: Nope, this is the only character I have seriously done. I did make a vampire character once… but she was executed *laughing* and through that experience I know I make a terrible vampire, but I did make some real good role play friends through it that I still play with once in a while. Isis: Wow... Executed... Sounds like you think human's the way to go, then. @Tara_ThorntonBT: Yeah... Human works for me. Isis: But then again, being human comes with its own set of problems. For example, your Tara is addicted to V... Care to comment on that? @Tara_ThorntonBT: Tell me about it... I needed some kind of story line to fill in the time and well Tara tends to make some rather poor choices. Since the death of Eggs she hasn't been doing great. I mean, he was the love of her life and now he's gone. So I thought it would almost be fitting for her character to get caught in the dark trap of V as a way to kill the heartbreak of losing Eggs. Isis: *nodding* A sad choice, but I can see how it's realistic for Tara. At the same time, though, after seeing what Jason went through with his V addiction... I wonder if she really thought this all through. @Tara_ThorntonBT: Does she ever think things through?? Look at the mess Bon Temps was in after she got involved with Maryann, Eggs, and Carl. Isis: True. But Tara's incredibly smart. We've known that since the first episode of True Blood. At times I wonder about how much Tara's need to be in control is hurting her. She only has one true friend that we know of as it is. @Tara_ThorntonBT: Sookie has been her saving grace... but now that she is tied up with the vampires, Sookie doesn't seem to be around that much to help Tara steer clear of trouble. Isis: Yes. Does that information help you create such a great Tara? What else helps you guide Tara to being so realistic? @Tara_ThorntonBT: Yes it does... at least in my eyes. Tara's attitude also helps. Her 'I don't give a damn what you think' attitude is something I tend to be a bit similar to in real life, so I find it quite easy to play Tara. Our motto: If you don't like it don't look. Isis: It's a great motto! @Tara_ThorntonBT: It works. Isis: Do you find your Tara to be more based on True Blood or the Sookie Stackhouse novels? @Tara_ThorntonBT: I find my Tara to be based more on True Blood rather than the novels. Isis: Is it just because she's a stronger character on True Blood, or is there more to it? @Tara_ThorntonBT: There's definitely more to it. I find the Tara in the books not to be a strong backboned kind of girl. But her character in the books isn't a major one either. The show Tara will rip your lips off if you get in her face and is all backbone, independent and very stubborn on the outside, but on the inside I see a young lady that is struggling with her identity with a mother that is an alcoholic/religious fanatic. Tara in the show still hasn't found her own self yet and that's why the tough exterior. It helps hide her own insecurities. Isis: Wow. Very deep. Have you incorporated any of book Tara's traits at all? @Tara_ThorntonBT: I do run @TarasTogs in some story lines and one there was a JB DuRone that showed up and we played. But right now I have @FranklinMott lurking in the shadows... Isis: Yes, what's going on with Tara and Franklin? How much bloodshed should we expect? @Tara_ThorntonBT: Well we know in the books Franklin Mott is NOT nice to Tara, and from what I've read around on all the sites like TrueBloodNet.com, etc that this is going to be one ugly season again for poor Tara. I read somewhere that Franklin Mott is evil, so lots of blood I'm sure. Isis: Unfortunately, Tara seems to have terrible luck in love. Hopefully she'll find true love sooner rather than later! @Tara_ThorntonBT: I don't know what Alan Ball has in store for Tara. I just hope it'll be good in a few ways. Isis: Hopefully it'll be good! After all, Tara's incredibly important as a main secondary character. Anyways, it seems to me that Tara's getting a raw deal the same way Vampire Bill is. Is your role play group going to make their lives any easier, do you think? @Tara_ThorntonBT: You know, now that you've mentioned it, we can almost call Tara the human Bill (just without the man bangs). Isis: *laughing* I hadn't even considered that, but good point! @Tara_ThorntonBT: Well right now, Tara is going through the addiction road to hell but when this story line is over next week I will be making her character lighter in lieu of season 3. Isis: Sounds great! It's obvious that you love what you're doing as the delightful Ms. Thornton. What do you love most about being Tara? @Tara_ThorntonBT: Getting away with what I do on the stream *grins* I think I am the only human on the Twitter stream that can get away with the hash tag #DamnVamp and not get drained! Isis: True, but then again, I'm sure that can make Tara's life difficult sometimes. What's the most challenging part of being Tara? @Tara_ThorntonBT: Not becoming a happy meal. However, a lot of various characters have my back out there if there is a problem let it be Vampires, Fairies, Demons, Shifters or what ever else is out there. They know not to mess with me! Isis: A backup plan is always good! @Tara_ThorntonBT: I tend to be "over protected" out there so there is no chance of me becoming a snack or turned or killed out there because someone is always watching me. I mean the first time @FranklinMott hit the stream with me 2 weeks ago I had five vampires out there ready to go after him! Isis: WOW! Protection comes out of the shadows! @Tara_ThorntonBT: Last night he showed up again and I had five different Eric's ready to go after him! Isis: *laughing at the image of five Eric's...* @Tara_ThorntonBT: I have part of the Magister's retinue watching as well, and they all have different personalities, trust me! Isis: Is it like having Dissociative Identity Disorder (one person with multiple personalities) at all? @Tara_ThorntonBT: They all have their own personalities...one Eric is your silly Eric, another is the over-sexed up Eric, and then there are the Eric's that are just perfect for the role (like ours). The Bill's are the same. Isis: The twitter stream seems to be incredibly diverse! @Tara_ThorntonBT: I know! When it comes to the Bill's, I have one that serenades me all the time, even though he's a terrible singer! But then again, there's also your depressed Bill and your happy Bill, over-sexed Bill and under-sexed Bill, and then, of course, the Perfect Bill (man bangs and all). Isis: Do you have a favorite amongst the Bill's and Eric's? @Tara_ThorntonBT: Not really. Depending on the day I play with various groups. Tara role players are scarce on the internet, and I really belong to everyone on the stream. Since I've met so many Bill's and Eric's, I can't choose at all! But yeah, the sparse selection of Tara's online and my willingness to work with other groups has helped make Tara a popular character. I love playing her. Isis: Wow, that's amazing! Does Tara change with each group you play with? @Tara_ThorntonBT: Yeah, I do. For example, I've got NOLA Tara who hangs out with Queen Sophie-Anne (@Fangtasia_Queen) and is engaged to another vampire, @FangtasiaSerge. It's totally out of character! Then, there's Bon Temps Tara (my real home base with the awesome @TB_Sookie). There's also Tara that has gone on wild and crazy adventures in Las Vegas to rescue the Magister's Executioner and assistant when they were brainwashed... Basically, Tara tends to be all over the grid so to speak. But since the Bon Temps group was formed, Tara tends to stay put in Bon Temps where she belongs *for now.* Since we're that much closer to season 3 and I have finally found my true family group of players, Tara hasn't wondered off from Bon Temps. Isis: How is season 3 going to affect you and this group as role players? @Tara_ThorntonBT: I am so EXCITED! All the people we are currently casting are characters from the show and we're basically searching the stream for players who will fit the roles as those characters. They are coming from every group out there. Some of our new characters are also role players from Facebook; some have never even role played before! Our @SamMerlotteBT is a new role player. The person now behind Sam sent us an email asking about the role because we really needed it filled. Luckily, it turned out to be a pleasant surprise, and we've got a great Sam! Isis: Wow, that's great, but back to you! Do you ever have fans who can't separate you from the Tara Thornton on True Blood? @Tara_ThorntonBT: All the time. It's stated on my bio the this is a role play account... but I still get direct messages from people asking me what's going to happen in season 3 and for autographs and stuff. I'm flattered but I usually send them a message back stating thanks for the compliment but I am NOT Rutina Wesley. Funny enough, those fans are my biggest supporters in role play once they know that this is a fictional account. Isis: That's pretty cool. Any strange comments aimed at you? @Tara_ThorntonBT: Sometimes... Like right now people are watching this story line seriously. I am getting all sorts of comment in my Form Spring box either loving it or hating it. The followers are quite split on what I've done with the V story line. I remember about 3 weeks ago I was getting quite bored so I decided to run a poll: Should Tara Thornton be turned into a vampire? Well, I stirred the stream up with that one, and obviously after nearly 800 votes the answer was no, but for the longest time the yes was in the lead. *laughing* After the poll closed it was around 85% no. To keep the fans interested in True Blood, (and to prevent myself from getting bored,) Tara Thornton on twitter does some strange thing out there to "wake" up the stream. There are nights where she'll open up Merlotte's, play music, and mix exotic drinks to whomever wants them. It's not really a story line, but just some fun for everyone. Isis: Well, it's a great way to get fans to interact! And now, for the final question... What's next for @Tara_ThorntonBT? @Tara_ThorntonBT: Wow... I really have no idea what's next for me... I know Franklin is lurking around, The NOLA bunch has a silly story line about the compound being haunted or something, but right now we have to deal with the V addiction and see who Tara's "surprise" visitor is in jail in next week's Twittersode! Isis: A very good question! I can't wait to find out! @Tara_ThorntonBT: *grins* I'm SO not going to tell you... You have to wait like the everyone else for next Saturday. For those of you interested in checking out the role playing (which I highly recommend because this group is so good), you can find a list of the current group of role players on their website, twittertrueblood.webs.com, which can be found under the Character navigation link. It is worth it to check them out!

True Blood Season 3 Cast Poster

Here is the True Blood Season 3 cast poster featuring Sookie Stackhouse, Bill Compton, Eric Northman, Sam Merlotte, Jason Stackhouse, Tara Thornton, Jessica Hamby, Lafayette Reynolds, and vampire Pam.  You will notice in the poster images of a wolf (which would imply the introduction of werewolves) but also a snake.  What do you think the snake symbolizes? Sam shifting into one or some hidden message such as temptation (Bill and Sookie being tempted) and if pursued their Garden of Eden destroyed?  Comment below with your speculations!

Andrew Paquin Speaks about His Sister Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer

Andrew Paquin recently spoke about his latest movie "Open House" starring his sister, Anna Paquin and her True Blood co-star and fiancé Stephen Moyer along with discussion about the couple's engagement. Andrew explained recently to People Magazine that his psychological thriller, "Open House", was filmed in his own home and he had a great time directing his sister, even though at times he found himself a little nervous. Despite being siblings and being the older brother, Andrew was nervous because "she's such a good actress" and the fact that he only had two days to work with her in his directorial debut.
"We only had two days together and it was my first time directing and I wanted to do a good job. But she made my life pretty easy as a director. She knows her lines perfectly and she understands her character."
Andrew noticed something special between the two before Anna and Stephen announced their engagement.
"They have amazing chemistry together on and off the screen. There's something special going on, and they understand and respect each other."
As to what Andrew thinks of his little sister marrying Stephen?  He completely approves and thinks that Stephen will be "an amazing husband to Anna and a great brother-in-law"as the two have actually become close friends.
"She's in very good hands," says Andrew. "Steve's a lovely man and a really great guy. He's become a very good friend. Everything is great and I'm really happy for them."
As Andrew said, he know that they love each other very much and are kind and good to each other which is very important. Below is a series of photos of Andrew from the Tribeca Film Festival 2010 portrait studio at the FilmMaker Industry Press Center on April 25, 2010 in New York City.

Alexander Skarsgard May Attend Beyond the Pole Premiere in Los Angeles

Alexander Skarsgard shows quite a different side in "Beyond the Pole," a film which will be screened in Los Angeles on May 1 at the United Film Festival. Alexander may make an appearance at the festival himself to witness his big screen debut as a cocky, gay Norwegian in a film that has been advertised as a satirical romp through the North Pole. Characters Brian and Mark set out to reach the North Pole as the first carbon neutral, vegetarian, and organic expedition. Their high hopes for the journey include making it into the Guinness Book of Records and somehow saving the planet from global warming. What they don't count on are two Norwegian comrades who are also carbon neutral, vegetarian and organic -- and faster! Their other obstacles include a polar bear and Mark's mental breakdown. You can order your tickets for the United Film Festival here. In an outtake from the film, posted on the film's Facebook page, Alex tries to "warm up" his comrade rather intimately. Rumor has it that another outtake features Alex's character naked, drunk and singing a song by Queen. Guess fans will have to check the DVD's special features! SOURCES: SkarsgardNews Beyond the Pole

True Blood Up For a Webby Award

Great news for True Blood fans! This phenomenal hit show has been nominated for a Webby Award in the category of Integrated Campaigns.  True Blood became an amazing hit and fans everywhere fell under its magical and mysterious spell but it wasn't enough for fans to only be able to watch this world of True Blood they wanted to really experience it and HBO realized that when it began its campaign to promote season two of the hit series. HBO decided to try something they called "Hacking Reality" where they would find a way to integrate vampires right into the midst of our society and blur the line between reality and fiction. They did this in one way by the creation and distribution of the drink, Tru Blood. Many companies followed suit and targeted their campaigns to include vampires and take a bite out of this newly created vampire phenomenon. A lot of these companies used the True Blood name and included links back to HBO in their campaigns. HBO hit a bullseye with this because they allowed companies to run their campigns and ads as they normally would but with a bit of True Blood mixed in. HBO stayed in the background and this was a smart move. HBO then moved its attention to its online campaign. You had such infamous websites, such as BloodCopy, which made the shocking move both on and offline of transferring to Gawker Media which made it the first site officially ran by a vampire. People also started sites that "represented" The American Vampire League and the Fellowship of the Sun which are opposing factions on the debate for vampire rights on the show and people began their own lobbying online. Once again fans had no idea these sites had anything to do with HBO until they found links bringing them back to the HBO site. HBO also did an amazing job with their teaser and ad campigns and hit up big time companies such as YouTube and The Los Angeles Times to make sure the word got out there. The summit of their advertising campaign came down to Comic Con. This was where all aspects of their campaign collided and gave HBO the best opportunity to reach their fans. Some of True Blood's competition in the Integrated Campaigns category are "6 Beers of Separation", "Boostup", "Recruitment 2009", and "The Starbucks Love Project Campaign".
All in all HBO proved that they knew how to truly bring True Blood to life and reward not only their die hard fans but new viewers as well. To vote for True Blood in this year's Webby Awards you can go here and cast your vote. Remember, the show is up for the Integrated Campigns category. Good Luck to HBO and to True Blood! We here at TrueBloodNet.com are so excited to see one of our articles (written by our very own administrator Ollie Chong aka AdoreBill) featured in the video submission about True Blood and are honored that TrueBloodNet.com was included as one of the websites involved in helping spread HBO's successful ad campaign. VIDEO: True Blood Season 3 "Waiting Sucks" Promo with Sookie

This past Sunday HBO presented True Blood fans another "waiting sucks" promo of season 3 this time featuring Sookie Stackhouse. You see in the video Sookie shooting a gun and Eric diving and being hit by the bullet.  Now was Sookie purposely trying to shoot Eric or was she aiming at someone or something else?  Also how was Eric able to be in her home?  Did she invite him in?  Will she suck this bullet out of Eric this time?  So many questions that will have to wait to be answered until Sunday, June 13, 2010 when season 3 of True Blood returns to HBO. "Waiting sucks" till then.

True Blood Voices from the UK - Season 2 Episode 8

Hi Folks, Here we go again, Episode 8 "Timebomb", was just amazing this week. As alot of the story is focused primarily around the lockdown, I have put many characters together this week, but have also looked at some of the scenes that stood out for me. THE LOCKDOWN SAGA Sookie is still held captive in the institute but is saved by Godric.  As he says the words "My Child" to Eric, he instantly appears at Godric's side to do his bidding. As the lockdown is already in progress, Godric orders Eric to get Sookie out safely where Eric turns to Sookie and says "trust me". Would you trust him! While Eric creates a diversion, by disarming the guards, he takes Sookie to the Sanctuary to escape, but they are confronted by Rev. Steve Newlin and his followers.  It is believed that Godric has has made his escaped so Eric decides to take Godric's place as the sacrifice for the "Holy Bonfire at Dawn". Eric offers himself as the sacrifice if Sookie and Godric are spared as Rev. Newlin has no intention's of letting anyone leave. Rev. Newlin begins to preach to his followers that his family were killed  by vampires thus they must be destroyed (obviously explains why he hates vampires so much). Jason after being shot in last weeks episode by Sarah, it was revealed it was only a paintball gun! Sarah feeling betrayed, she keeps on shooting as revenge can be sweet, hitting Jason in his wedding tackle with a well aimed shot. Paint balls can really packs a punch. Now Sarah also believes he is a Fangbanger and like minded with his sister SookieJason leaves in Sarah's car, leaving her alone in the middle of nowhere. Back at the fellowship outer gates, Jason drives up, looking rather like "RAMBO", portraying himself as a Hitman/Exterminator, gun in hand. He proclaims to the guards that he has been sent for, and that he must be telling the truth as he has his Honesty Ring on! A guard escorts Jason to see Rev. Newlin, but then realizes that it is a paintball gun Jason is holding, so Jason reacts swiftly knocking the guard out. Meanwhile in the hotel room Lorena is still holding on to Bill and now Barry also. Lorena bites Barry and she realizes he is also "special" like Sookie, so she doesn't turn him. Bill seeing his chance to escape, hits Lorena with a plasma TV with enough force to eventually knock Lorena out cold, long enough for him to make his escape with Barry. Bill is next seen entering the lockdown room (which was supposed to be locked). Rev. Newlin holds a gun to Sookie's head, threatening to shoot her and tells his followers to chain Bill with the silver chains. Bill says there will be a massacre and then ....RAMBO enters alias Jason. Paint ball gun still in hand and with such an accurate aim, he shoots the gun out of Rev. Newlin's hand, and just for good measure he shoots a few more including a bullseye to the head. This gives Sookie time to release (the now smoking Eric). Eric being slightly pissed off at being held in chains pins Rev. Newlin to the floor, fangs at the ready! Rev. Newlin announces "go ahead, God will protect me". The sound of thundering people on the move... vampires led by Stan emerge into the room.  Stan tells Rev. Newlin that  "they will murder them all, as they did to his father ". "Destroy all of them" Stan shouts..... so who is starting the WAR now? Before anyone is actually bitten Godric appears and shouts "Enough", and says to Stan  "you came for me underling ?" Yes sheriff he replies. Godric doesn't want to create bloodshed, he wants peace and harmony between humans and vampires. (Godric is too TAME !!)  After trying to make a truce with Rev. Newlin, doesn't he realize that if he is bitten he becomes the creature he most hates! How can God protect him? Godric mocks him, saying "I am actually older than your JESUS, I wish I could have been there, I missed it.... why?"  OH YES, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN DAYLIGHT! Godric, mild mannered, young looking boy, go home good people...er Godric where are your FANGS!! Well I saved the best bit for last of the lockdown saga...when Rev. Newlin is confronted by Jason. Rev. Newlin says "you are goin to HELL " to which Jason replies "I've been there, but I've also been to heaven INSIDE your wife."  BRILLIANT!! JESSICA and HOYT Hoyt and Jessica make love for the first time after both confessing to being virgins. While in the throws of passion, Bill bursts in, to which Hoyt says "I don't know what you heard, but they were screams of pleasure". Wouldn't screams coming from a room with a human and a vampire usually mean a vampire meal! Jessica is embarrassed by Bill's sudden arrival, but Bill is only there to warn them to go back to Bon Temps, NOW. When again trying to make love, Jessica realizes as a vampire heals itself, she will remain a virgin forever. SAM Sam asleep in his car is woken by the phone ringing,  "Merlotte's" calling, upon answering it, heavy breathing and then someone hangs up?  Sam gun in hand, returns to Merlotte's, to find Daphne dead, her heart ripped out.  Shocked he covers her with black bin liner bags (well covers her bottom half).  He calls the Sheriff, as there is a knock at the door? Who called the cops? Sheriff Bud Dearborne says it was a anonymous tip off. So now Sam has a dead body in his refrigerator, a motive to kill Daphne, and worse still is upon checking official records, the Sheriff can't find any records that Sam Merlotte even exists!  Is Sam older than the records? Can a shapeshifter be as old as the vampires? Or maybe he just wanted to be somebody else. Andy appears at the doorway, looking rather worse for wear and he tells Sheriff Dearborne that Sam had nothing to do with it. That he is a victim and Andy is a witness. "I saw Sam fighting off the black eyed zombies, with the bulls head there. " Sam can't agree with him for fear of them both been carted off to the mental home. So then Andy truly drops himself in it by saying he saw "the BULLS HEAD, CLAWS, ...WAIT FOR IT .... IN A DRESS!!  Even Andy had to agree it sounds mad. So the Sheriff takes Sam into protective custody. Once in the cells, he spots several Bon Temps characters, upon asking why they are there,  (and this is a beaut of a excuse) I was caught sodomizing a pine tree!! He had scratches on his pecker to prove it !! It begs the question of HOW, WHY, AND IS IT POSSIBLE, HOW DO YOU KNOW WHICH IS THE REAR OF THE TREE! TARA and EGGS Eggs tells Tara that he is having memory lapses again and he feels he did something bad. Yeah Eggs you did something bad!  Maryann was seen earlier frying vegetables, then later cutting up the heart (presumably Daphne's) .  Did Eggs take the heart or did Maryann?  Now Maryann slices the heart, blood everywhere, and fries it. Maryann announces dinner is ready, its "Hunter Souffle" or "Daphne Heart Pie". Tara and Eggs dig in heartily, loving every mouthful, which seems to get bloodier red after each mouthful. Clearly under Maryann's influence again now, what starts out as a playful slap between them, turns into a rough foreplay, and Maryann watches on amused. Why is sex always involved where ever Maryann is? AN AUDIENCE WITH GODRIC The vampires line up to greet Godric at what appears to be a celebration party. Jason passes by Eric "quite the hero " Eric says, but he also knows of his past of using V.  We are even now says Eric with a smile (I love Eric's smile). Is Jason now safe?  Sookie confronts Bill, as to why he didn't come to her rescue earlier and he tells her he was held captive too. Sookie mistakenly thinks it was Eric who had him captive, upon hearing his name, Eric appears at their side. He says "the bond between vampire and his maker is stronger than you can imagine.  Maybe you will find out one day. " The glancing evil look that Bill gave to Eric, does that mean, it's sooner than you think, or she will never be turned? Godric spares Hugo's life because Isobel still loves the human. Lorena is back to claim her man Bill and makes a B line for Sookie when Bill isn't around her.  Bill appears at Sookie's side as Lorena tries to persuade Sookie that it is Lorena he loves.  Realizing that Sookie is feisty, Lorena fangs and tries to attack Sookie. Godric intervenes and she is told to leave the his home and to be escorted by Bill. She confesses again her love for Bill, but he says he never loved her and will never love her.  NEVER is FOREVER in vampire years! TIMEBOMB Well there always has to be one party pooper!  Luke shouts "listen everyone" as he opens his coat, a bomb of silver chains and crosses are attached to his body.  Now will the bomb go off or not?  We will have to wait till the next episode folks. Hope you enjoy my column folks, stop by and leave me a comment. Cheers, Annsarocker
