True Blood Season 2: TV Guide Summer Preview

True Blood Season 2 is previewed by TV Guide as it looks at one of the hottest shows to return this summer.   Some of the tidbits that TV Guide mentions in its magazine is that Bill (Stephen Moyer) and Sookie (Anna Paquin) go to Dallas and stay at a vampire hotel "where you can order humans from room service" and Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) tries get in-between Bill and Sookie as Alan Ball states "he has always been attracted to her." Jason (Ryan Kwanten)  gets wrapped up with the Fellowship of the Sun and a strange comment about the cliffhanger.  Now at the end of season 1 we saw a painted toe-nailed foot hanging out of Andy Bellefleur's (Chris Bauer) car yet TV Guide says it is a "severed" foot.  Hmmm, I wonder if they know something we don't yet.  Either way Alan Ball is going to put us on a rollercoaster ride of emotions for season two of True Blood when it return on Sunday, June 14, 2009 at 9PM/ET on HBO. True Blood: People Want To Know More About TruBlood

true-blood-trubloodMarci Reynolds writes in her article entitled:  "Tru Blood: The Synthetic Blood On HBO's True Blood"  a growing trend among people who have been watching Alan Ball's hit HBO TV series True Blood.  People are asking questions about TruBlood. What is it?  Is it real?  Can I buy in a store? Ms. Reynolds present in her article a look at the topic and her views.  We would like to thank Ms. Reynolds for allowing us to print on TrueBloodNet.com an excerpt of her article which you can read further on her website: "Friends Don't Let Friends Drink Friends", is one of the catchy slogans for Tru Blood, the "synthetic blood nourishment beverage" vampires enjoy on the HBO series, True Blood. As described in the series, Japanese scientists invented the synthetic blood several years ago, which allowed vampires to come out of their coffins, into the mainstream living among the mortals. Vampires no longer have to kill humans to survive. Instead.. there's Tru Blood. Because the show has become such a sensation, viewers from across the globe have been asking about Tru Blood. They want to buy it. They want to taste it. They want to know more! To continue reading click here. SOURCE: hubpages.com (Photo credit:  HBO.Inc.)

True Blood Season 2: Blood Copy Look At the Social Impact of Vampires

83796171Looking at Vampire Andrew's Blood Copy blog he examines the social impact that vampires have made in human society.  One of the biggest areas is the increase in female fangbangers who proudly talk about there experiences and bite marks via webcams over the internet.  Young women across the country have increasingly turned to the internet to showcase their markings and spout the virtues of "being" with a vampire.  Well at least they have good taste.  Oh bad joke. Perhaps the biggest impact that vampires have made to society is the inclusion of new words in everyday language.  Think about it a few years ago no one would nave known what was a fangbanger, bloodhead, TruBlood or V was until now.  Now these words are part of our everyday language and mentioned in the media on a daily basis.  Well if you want a more in-depth look at these fangbanger girls or a refresher course on vampire terminology check out the Blood Copy blog to get all the information. True Blood Season 2: Blood Copy Party Report

blood-copy-party-picVampire Andrew and his Blood Copy Team threw their party on the rooftop of Gawker Media with both vampire and humans in attendance to celebrate the premiere of Blood Copy on Thursday, May 28, 2009. It seem the party had all the elements that a vampire would need in order to really enjoy the party, TruBlood Marys and several cocktails:  Sookie (Stackhouse Lemonade), Bill (the Compton Cocktail), The Bayou (Bayou Blast), music and mist covering the rooftops of many of the surrounding buildings to create the atmosphere of a Louisiana night in the middle of New York City. Vampire Andrew and the rest of the partygoers engaged in various conversations ranging with some people frustrated with the sudden surge in vampire interest from the Twilight series, calling it "the Hello Kitty of vampires." to others touting the exclusiveness of the event saying, "Vampires are more elitist than the VIP section of Marquee."    It seems Vampire Andrew got too wrapped up in the event that he lost his messenger bad or did he.  You can see in the photo gallery there are a couple of strange individuals and one in particular is the female who always seems to appear in some photos looking very mysterious.  Anyways the party turned out to be a success and you can see for yourself the fun everyone had at the Blood Copy Party. True Blood Season 2: A Blood Copy Way to Unwind

blood-copy-vampires-zombiesI don't know about you but lately I have been finding the weekends to be so hectic running around trying to do everything that I think I might try Vampire Andrew and his Blood Copy team's suggestions as a way to unwind. I usually can't sit down and read a book on the weekend when I have so much to do but I think I'll try to force myself to sit down and read the one that Blood Copy suggested: Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Now I have heard of the book but had no idea what it was about until I read the Blood Copy review of it. As Blood Copy states the story is about zombies that are called "unmentionables" who co-exist with humans like vampires do. Sounds good so far. As Blood Copy states: "The zombies are trapped in horror-movie lore, stalking and feasting upon unsuspecting humans, their shredded finery trailing in the soft earth behind them. Vampires hold jobs, play video games, play sports, have human friends and significant others. They don't eat brains. Let us repeat: Vampires do not eat brains." Well of course they don't eat brains they drink TruBlood. Geesh everybody knows that but the fact that zombies are fake and vampires are real doesn't have to beaten over our heads.  We know that already.  Sounds like a good book to start off with but I am really looking forward to reading "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" since it seems to be getting good reviews. 200376474-001 I think I'll sit back on my lounge tonight and try reading the book with a glass Louisiana Queen. You never heard of it.  Well to tell you the truth I never have too but I saw the recipe on the Blood Copy blog and I thought I'll try it out this weekend. Its made out of TruBlood and although I have never tried it on Blood Copy it says it is best to start off with a TruBlood cocktail before trying it straight otherwise it may make you feel queasy. No, I don't want that I want to unwind this weekend not be in bed sick. Though I wondered about some of side effects such as drawing the attention of vampires. I think I can deal with that. I just hope I don't fall asleep on the lounge after an hour of reading the book and drinking my Louisiana Queen. However there are worse ways to spend a weekend evening.   Just recently I was watching TV and as I flipped the channel I saw the most ridiculous thing I have scene in years. A grown man wearing a vampire costume with the cape and fangs and the whole bit. I mean how insensitive can you be. I think Vampire Andrew and I, we must have been watching the same show because he mentioned on his Blood Copy blog he was watching the Baton Rouge Bloodsuckers ( it's a soccer team that is doing very well in the league) when he saw the mascot for the team: a vampire in stereotypical gear. I mean in this day in age it is unacceptable for such things to occur. Just like Vampire Andrew said vampires are not mascots for America's fun and games. blood-copy-vampire-mascot Well I think I'm set for a relaxing weekend. Now if I can do something about my cellphone I just hate my ringtone and need to find something different. Maybe over the weekend I'll find something.  Till then have a fangtastic weekend.  OK bad joke. SOURCE:  bloodcopy.com (Photo credit:  bloodcopy.com)

True Blood Season 2: Blood Copy Contest

blood-copy-contestThe Blood Copy Team is running a new promotion on their website where one lucky readers can win a "blood-red iPod nano" if you can guess from six photos which one is the vampire.  Just leave a comment and your guess as to who do you think is the vampire at their e-mail address.  So do you think you can spot a vampire from a mile away (well it would be night time so maybe a few feet away).   Are you going to go with the stereotypical idea of what a vampire looks like or use some other method to make your guess. Just remember vampires have been around for centuries and it is only recently that they revealed themselves to us.  Up to that point in time you could have been rubbing shoulders with a vampire and never knew it. So don't be too quick to judge and it goes to show that you have to change the way you think otherwise you might end up saying something offensive to a vampire and may not know it or live to tell about it.  Check out the Blood Copy contest SOURCE:  bloodcopy.com (Photo credit:  bloodcopy.com)

True Blood Season 2: Blood Copy Warns About V

blood-copy-say-no-to-vVampire Andrew mentions on his Blood Copy blog that he was watching his favorite show "Real Nest" a sort of vampire version of "Real World" when he saw a public announcement ad against using V.  The video feature a real bloodhead who is hooked on V and the horrible side effects from it.  V is very powerful stuff that can make you addicted to it just after one try so it is best not to try it.  As Vampire Andrew says vampire blood should stay in their bodies and not be taken by humans but realizes the contradiction of this statement since vampires drink human blood, well not anymore.  Go over to his Blood Copy blog and watch the video and see the horrible effect of becoming a bloodhead. True Blood Season 2: Blood Copy Deals with Daytime Challenges

e00010233Vampire Andrew mentions on his new Blood Copy blog that one of the benefits since becoming of being a vampire is he can continue staying up all night since he has always classified himself as a night owl and sleeping all day.  The only problem is this can pose a difficult problem when running a blog and a large number of your readers check out the site during the day.  So Vampire Andrew has to find a way to keep it running during the day now that he is working in association with Gawker Media.  So after an extensive searching  and interviewing he has found five people who will be part of the Blood Copy Team who will be writing during daylight hours for the Blood Copy blog. Like many blogs that deal with posting news and interesting articles Vampire Andrew would like to hear from you  if you have any vampire stories to tell.  Whether it is a vampire who is having a hard time finding the right human to date or a human who wants to find a vampire to love.  Let him know about it.  So go over to his Blood Copy blog and learn more about his new Blood Copy team. Interview with True Blood William Sanderson: Being Sheriff Bud Dearborne

william-sanderson-sheriff-bud-dearborneR.J. Carter from the-trades.com had the opportunity to speak with William Sanderson recently and presents his interview here which you can read further on his website at www.the-trades.com. William Sanderson is like the bell pepper in the gumbo. He may not be the crawfish or the crab or the andouille, but the mix is made all the better for his presence; he's the familiar face from shows like "Lonesome Dove" and "Blade Runner" -- not to mention his unforgettable role on Newhart and his trademarked line, "Hi. I'm Larry. This is my brother Daryl, and this is my other brother Daryl." These days Sanderson is enforcing the law in the HBO hit series, True Blood. As Sheriff Bud Dearborne, he's a plainspoken, grounded southern gentleman -- much like Sanderson himself. The catch: in the town of Bon Temps, Louisiana, the latest minority group is starting to make itself known: vampires. True Blood is set, by author Charlaine Harris, in the deep south, and at it's core is a tale of intolerance. There's a new minority in the world, that being the vampires, and on one level the story is about violent discrimination against them. Speaking as an Arkansas boy to a Tennessee gentleman, why do those kind of stories have to be set in the south? Haven't we grown past that? That is a great question. The author lives in Arkansas, and she went to college in my home town. I think for years show business has depicted southerners as stupid or provincial -- and I guess I've benefited a little, but... it's a tough question: "Why?" I don't think the south has any monopoly on narrow-mindedness. Maybe we're easy targets. I've realized I'm not that smart, but I did get a law degree, and I think I have average intelligence for an actor -- but it raises questions about it to even pursue a career as an actor, though, so... Throughout the first season of True Blood, your character -- though we didn't see an awful lot of him -- seemed to evolve from a character a bit like your "Larry" character in Newhart, to someone who's a lot more wise and competent than we were first led to believe. Was there talk of developing the character as the season wore on? I'm grateful for the time I got on it, and not to be arrogant but I'm keeping the money. I think the second season will even be better with some new vampires and more craziness, if you will. But, no, that was all on a need to know basis, and I'm still learning. When I get to work with Alan Ball, the creator, I really try to be a sponge, but, for me it was a thrill to play what was -- at least ostensibly -- a normal person: I'm clean shaven and I don't wear dirty clothes. But if you read the books, there's not a lot on Sheriff Dearborne, but people have told me he's a voice of reason (and that's another irony with me). But it's fun to play a normal person. True Blood Season 2: Spoilers with Alexander Skarsgard, Sookie, Maryann and Ashley Jones

true-blood-season-2-maryann-party2Latest True Blood Season 2 spoiler news featuring tidbits about Alexander Skarsgard's character Eric Northman, Sookie Stackhouse, Maryann and Ashley Jones who plays Daphne.   These spoiler tidbits come from Michael Ausiello at ausiellofiles.ew.com who answers a readers question about Alan Ball's hit HBO TV series True Blood which returns for Season 2 on Sunday, June 14, 2009 at 9PM/ET on HBO.  Instead of rewriting it let me present it to you it its original content so no changes occurs in the interpretation.
Question: Since you've seen the first four True Blood episodes of season 2, is there anything you can share? -- Sanna Ausiello: They're bloody fangtastic! (Never. Gets. Old.) Seriously, season 2 -- premiering June 14 -- gets off to a thrilling, gory, scary, sexy, disgusting, funny, suspenseful start. Alan Ball would drive a wooden stake through my heart if I spoiled any of the big twists (i.e. my lips are sealed about the fate of a certain flamboyant vampire blood dealer), but here are a few juicy morsels to whet your appetite: •    There are three orgies, all of them powered by Maryann's (Michelle Forbes) aphrodisiac fairy dust. •    Alexander Skarsgard's Nordic vamp has an extremely homoerotic encounter with a character who shall remain nameless. In related news, there are about two dozen gratuitous shirtless shots in the first four episodes, all of them belonging to either Mechad Brooks (Tara's new BF, Eggs) or Ryan Kwanten (Jason). •    Sookie has a very revealing conversation with a new character in episode 4. •    If you're wondering what secret Merlotte's newest waitress (played by Ashley Jones) is harboring, a clue can be found on her skin.

True Blood Season 2: Vampire Comic on Blood Copy

blood-copy-vampire-comicVampire Andrew's Blood Copy blog takes a look at vampires going into a line of work that most may think vampires cannot do:  comedy acts.  Yes you did hear me right.  A vampire performing stand up comedy.  Now before the Great Revelation how do you know if your favorite comedian wasn't a vampire.  They could have been around for ages and we never knew that they really were vampires so it should not be too much of a surprise.  That being said heckling a vampire comedian may not be the best idea no matter how bad he may suck (no pun intended). Now most can handle an heckler but there are nights when one can get under their skin just like it can happen with a human comedian.  The only difference is heckling a vampire comedian when he is in a bad mood and on a night when he/she will not put up with it can be very unpleasant. In one particular case that Vampire Andrew posted on his Blood Copy blog a human decides to give a vampire comedian a hard time heckling him to the point that the vampire is so visible upset that he is trying to control himself from leaping off the stage and draining the heckler.  Yet this human decides to have even more fun with this vampire by videotaping his outbursts and threats and posting it on YouTube.  Not smart.  If I was that human I would make sure I would lock myself in my home just before sunset otherwise I may not see the sunrise again.  Go over and watch the video on Vampire Andrew's Blood Copy blog and comment whether the vampire was overreacting or was the heckler right.  Just be careful with what you say because you never know if that vampire is reading your comment and does not take to kindly to what you have to say about is act. True Blood Season 2: BloodCopy Fangs Up with Gawker

blood-copy-gawkerVampire Andrew is posting his first Blood Copy blog in association with Gawker Media to spread the word that vampires are everywhere and are slowly coming out of the coffin.  To the usual readers of the Gawker Media outlet, Vampire Andrew explains to them in his first post the vampire culture and not to fear them.  Well with the development of the synthetic blood and bottled TruBlood available everywhere from delis to barrooms across the country vampires no longer need to hunt humans.  In fact Vampire Andrew emphasizes that humans and vampires can co-exist and have meaningful relationship as inter-being dating sites are popping up everywhere to meet the demands. Vampire Andrew explains what was the purpose of his blog from the very beginning. To separate the myths from the facts about vampires and it seems people are listening.  Before Vampire Andrew was turned the purpose of the Blood Copy blog was to investigate the usual messages and events that were appearing across the country a while back.  Now with vampires becoming part of the mainstream society and Vampire Andrew now a vampire himself the purpose of the Blood Copy blog is to teach humans about vampires so both can co-exist in harmony. So now with his Blood Copy blog getting more attention Gawker Media saw the opportunity to take Blood Copy under its wing and to take Vampire Andrew's message to a higher level.  Blood Copy is now part of a bigger media site and will be able to spread the word about the world of vampires which includes fangbangers, bloodheads, shape-shifters and even have some celebrity vampire gossip as well. Therefore Vampire Andrew welcomes all old and new readers of his blog to enjoy his findings, commentaries and insights into the world of vampires presented to you by a vampire. So go over to his new designed Blood Copy blog and congratulation him on his expansion as some commenters seem to have expressed their distaste for a vampire blog and do not seem to understand his purpose. Ryan Kwanten of True Blood Talks About Women and Dating

ryan-kwanten-true-blood-season-2Australian-born actor Ryan Kwanten who plays Jason Stackhouse on Alan Ball's hit HBO TV series True Blood recently spoke to Women's Health Magazine about the differences between Australian and American women and relationships in general.  Ryan stated that when it comes to breaking his heart Australian women tend to be more blunt.
"Australian women tend to tell it like it is - even if it's the brutal, honest truth,…I think American women usually break it to you a little easier. There's a softer side to them."
Ryan also provides this tip to women when it comes to dating.  He states that one mistake that women make is that they should:
"Try out the "I love you's" after a week or two (of dating). You have to give it time before you start (saying that). I like exploring the mystery of a relationship instead of laying it all out on the table at the beginning."
When asked what was his most embarrassing dating experience he says that:
"I arrived at this girl's house and her dad answered the door. The guy was huge -- in my head, he seemed close to seven feet tall and 300 pounds. He looked down at me and said, "Can I help you? I said, 'Yeah, I'm here to see ... ' and I forgot the girl's name! I was just looking up at him thinking, Oh, God, please don't squash me!"
Now many of you who watch True Blood are very familiar with Ryan's well-chiseled physique that seems to have absolutely no body fat.  So how does he do it?
"I'm somewhat of a masochist at heart. I like to sweat. I come from a very competitive sporting background --my dad was a world-champion surfer -- so it's always been a part of my DNA. I do a lot of soft-sand running, hiking, yoga, and boxing, and I compete in triathlons. But I don't have a strict diet. If I want a beer, I'll have a beer, and I've always been a chocoholic."
Is there anything about Ryan that fans of True Blood may not be aware of?
"I'm undefeated in Scrabble. I can figure out an opponent's strategy and mold mine to offset theirs. I play a couple times a week, and I'll often play a game on my bed by myself against myself, which I realize sounds completely mad."

True Blood Season 2: TV Guide Spoiler Info

hbo-true-blood-season-2TV Guide's editor, Mickey O'Connor answers viewers' questions about what we may see for Season 2 of Alan Ball's hit HBO TV series True Blood and the neverending question of who's foot is it that we see hanging out of the car at the end of Season one.  If you don't want any hints then stop readinig NOW!  Ok you have been warned.  Now we know that whoever it is, they are dead but who?  Mr. O'Connor states that we will find out right away as season two begins right where season one ended and provides us with a  little tease based on how he phrases his remark: "Since the season premiere (airing Sunday, June 14, 9 pm/ET) picks up right where we left off, the victim's identity is revealed in short order." Hmm, I wonder if he is trying to tell us something.  He goes on to state that "season 2's first casualty is related to Tara, but not in a way that you will guess."  The death of this person does not seem to be of real importance at first but viewers will see later on its impact.  Then he mentions that a minor character's drinking problem returns. Going back over the characters from season one we can take a good guess aa to who this may be but with this being Alan Ball's creation anything is possibe. Anna Paquin Inteview Inside Hamptons Magazine

Anna Paquin is featured in the Memorial Day issue of Hamptons Magazine where she discusses her acting career, her experience on True Blood that is returning for Season 2 on HBO on Sunday, June 14, 2009 at 9PM/ET, her relationship with Stephen Moyer and what she is looking forward to for her future.  Here is the complete article inside the Hamptons Magazine as provided by Anna Paquin Online.

LOVE BITES Anna Paquin, Star of True Blood, Sinks Her Teeth Into The Role Of A Lifetime Anna Paquin is about to catapult into a rare form of superstardom, the kind in which a television actress becomes an A-list fixture (à la Sarah Jessica Parker). Not that we didn't see this coming: At only 11 years old Paquin won an Oscar opposite Holly Hunter in The Piano. Since then she's taken on fantastical high-concept adventure (the X-Men franchise), drama (The Courageous Heart of Irena Sendler) and even a little history (Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee, Joan of Arc). But today, as the bright-eyed Southerner Sookie Stackhouse on HBO's True Blood, she has fully arrived. And her recent Golden Globe win proves it. "The Golden Globe feels pretty damn good because I'm an adult, and it's the first major recognition I've had for my work as a non-child," she says. "Even though I'm only 26, I've been working since I was nine, so it feels like I worked for it." Entering its second season in June, True Blood—as Paquin describes it, "dangerous, sexy, otherworldl; a grown-up version of a fairy tale"—is the creation of Alan Ball of Six Feet Under fame. Paquin was on board the moment she heard he was on the project. "He's extraordinary, smart, funny and unpredictable in his humor, kind and approachable," she says. "The best boss you could possibly have." Similarly, True Blood could be one of the best things that has happened to her. Paquin fell in love with her costar, Stephen Moyer (who plays the vampire Bill) during filming, and the couple now live together. Night after night of filming ("The sleep deprivation can be rough—our crew right now is starting to look like vampires," she says) enabled the relationship to blossom quickly. "Steve and I had a certain instant connection," she says. "It doesn't hurt when the relationship on screen that you're trying to create is one of attraction and fascination." That chemistry is evident on the show, and the role of Sookie—an innocent, romance-novel kind of girl who reads minds and falls for the good-guy vampire—is Paquin's favorite role to date. "Sookie's had a really rough time in her own personal life," she explains. "Everyone thinks she's a big freak. Then this dark and mysterious creature shows up, and he's not judging her and she's in no position to judge him. It's the first time that she gets to be herself, and he's fascinated by all the things that make her different. And vice versa."

annapaquinhamptondress

To get into shape for the role while living in New York City, Paquin trained regularly. "I do everything you can do in a gym. Boxing, Pilates, yoga—you name it, I've done it," she says. And it certainly paid off. "Sookie's her own little action star," she says. "I get blooded and vomited on and beat up—everything that the girl doesn't usually get to do in a show or a film because they're usually the girlfriend. Sookie's the center of all the action or trauma." Though aware of her effect on True Blood's rabid fans, Paquin keeps it real. She subscribes to the famous maxim "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you," and she attributes her grounded nature to the realistic views that her family—who live in New Zealand, where she grew up—subscribes to. (She maintains a production company with her brother, with whom she made Blue State in 2007.)

annapaquinhamptonspool

"If you're respectful and professional and good to people, what you put out there comes back to you," she explains. "I came up through the ranks before the tabloid media became what it is currently. It wasn't as much of a feeding frenzy. I guess that's more good luck than good management. There was very little time to be affected, and my family didn't value that. I was usually at work or at school or at home doing my homework." Paquin has had stellar professional role models as well, including her favorite, Holly Hunter. "I'm still in awe of her," Paquin says. "The Piano was my apprenticeship. I had no idea what I was doing and I absolutely adored her. So I was like, I'll just follow her lead! She can just walk on water talent-wise." Paquin may have sidestepped the celebrity craze, but one thing she has fallen into is fashion. She loves Narciso Rodriguez, Dolce & Gabbana and L'Wren Scott, and she wore Hervé Leroux to the Golden Globes. "I absolutely love beautiful clothes and dressing up for red-carpet stuff," she says. "The whole Cinderella thing: the dress, the shoes, the hair, the makeup and the jewelry." As for her true passions, she'd like to direct a film someday, start a family and travel. "India, Thailand, Africa, Borneo," she says. "Places like Brazil to support the Great Ape Project [an advocacy group for great apes]; I'm a little bit obsessed with that. And I'm finally going to the Hamptons!
