True Blood's Denis O'Hare Set to Hit Broadway in November
Denis O'Hare, True Blood's king of Mississipi Russell Edgington, recently opened up to TheaterMania about working on Broadway versus True Blood. TheaterMania caught up with O'Hare at a press event he was at for his new Broadway show Elling. The play, which follows a pair of mismatched friends as they take their first steps in the world after living in an institution, will begin previews in November at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre. O'Hare told the interviewer going from True Blood back to theater was a big journey. He said most people do not realize how incredibly difficult theater work is, because you rehearse all day and perform live eight times a week. He did admit television is incredibly difficult in its own way, because you work long hours, but you do get downtime to rejuvenate. You can catch Denis O'Hare on Broadway beginning November 2nd in Elling, directed by Doug Hughes.
