Video: Nelsan Ellis Chats About Secretariat

Nelsan Ellis Talks About his Film, Working with Horses and his New Screenplay 

Nelsan Ellis' new movie Secretariat is now in theaters.  In an interview with Star Talkat AOL, Nelsan talks about his character Eddie Sweat and about working with the horses.  He says "working with the horses was easy at first, however later in the day when they are filming they tend to get a little difficult".  Ellis' character is a groom who takes care of the horse Secretariat.  Nelson was asked in the interview, how he approached the role given that it was based on an actual person.  He responded: " I try to find out all about the person whom I'm playing, then I mold the character into who I'm trying to be".  Nelsan also discusses his screenplay "Ugly", for which he received an award, and he reveals that he has been working on a new screenplay based off of "Ugly" entitled "Bird in the House".
