Fundraiser for Stephen Moyer's Birthday A Success

58670086Recently, Stephen Moyer celebrated his 40th birthday. In honor of the occasion, we here at TrueBloodNet.com launched "Steve's Coach Campaign" to raise money for Brentwood Theatre, of which Stephen is the patron, so that children from local UK schools could go see their Christmas production of The Twits. Fans were able to send a birthday message to Stephen, along with a pledge to donate money so that schools that couldn't afford transportation would be able to send their kids to see the play for the holiday. Mark Reed, administrator of Brentwood Theatre, was the one who gathered all the e-mails that we forwarded to him:
"The idea was to do something to celebrate Stephen's birthday, and I spent all day Saturday on the computer, collating messages and cash gifts."
The campaign raised £1,500 (about $2,400), which will pay for three schools to have coaches take groups of students on the field trip to Brentwood Theatre. Through their generosity, Stephen's fans have provided a nice Christmas gift for those children who will now be able to attend the play, and in doing so, they have shown their appreciation for Stephen by supporting a place that's important to him.
