Michael McMillian Says the Newlins Will be Back

082709_mikeDuring season 2 of True Blood, we saw much bloodshed and the loss of many characters. Some of these losses were much anticipated, such as Maryann. Some of these deaths were saddening, such as Eggs and Godric. But one set of characters that we will be seeing more of are the Newlins. That's right, Steve and Sarah, the patriarchs of the Fellowship of the Sun Church. Steve is played by the talented Michael McMillian, who recently told MTV news, he expected the character to return. Though McMillian doesn't know exactly when that return will take place, he does have several theories.
"I think like any good villain he's going to go away and lick his wounds for a while. But I think he suffered major humiliation toward the end of season two, and now I would imagine the Stackhouses are even higher on his list. If it was personal before with his father being killed, then it's really personal now with the Stackhouses humiliating him."
McMillian also suggested what might be an appropriate time for the return.
"Hopefully, it'll happen at a time when the audience is least expecting it. That's always the best time to bring them back—when something horrible is already going on for our hero, and then they gotta deal with these a--holes too."
Well I certainly hope the True Blood writers are listening because Michael McMillian just might be on to something! SOURCE:  MTV News Photo Credits: HBO Inc.
