True Blood's Nelsan Ellis Discusses Diane Lane and Working As A Wrangler
Nelsan Ellis, True Blood's Lafayette, recently sat down with TrailerAddict.com to talk about his experience on the set of his new film Disney's Secretariat. In the film, based on the true story of the journey of Secretariat the 1973 Triple Crown winner, Ellis plays Eddie Sweat, the groom. Ellis joked in the interview the first month of shooting he was a wrangler not an actor. In many of the scenes, Ellis had to control the horse and admitted he ended up paying more attention to the horse's queues than his own. When discussing Diane Lane, who plays the main character Penny Lane, Ellis revealed he had never felt so safe with another actor. He said Lane was a breath of fresh air, who took care of the other actors and was remarkable at what she does. You can catch Disney's Secretariat when it hits theaters October 8th.
