True Blood Actor Offers Up Rare Collector's Item:
Alexander Skarsgård is continuing his support of human rights group Amnesty International by participating in another auction benefiting the non-profit Nobel Prize-winning organization. Previously, Skarsgård, True Blood's Eric Northman, has auctioned off his copies of True Blood scripts in support of Amnesty International. This time, up for auction is a DVD of the English version of the award-winning short film, 'Att döda ett barn (To Kill a Child),' which Skarsgård and Björne Larson wrote and directed. Penned by Swedish author Stig Dagerman, this famous short story, 'To Kill A Child' was released as a film in 2003, going on to win both the GRAND PRIX and International PRESS AWARD at the Odense International Film Festival that same year. The short story that this is based on is an extremely powerful account of a day, supposedly normal and fun, that will lead to the death of a child due to careless speeding...Well shot, and very well directed - this is an excellent short that really captures the spirit of the piece, and is incredibly moving in its shots of a small child and two families who are changed forever. Rare DVD Never Sold in the U.S.
