True Blood writer Chris Offutt along with several other celebrated writers have come together to create "Noir" through Dark Horse. Noir is a pitch-black anthology of original stories that focuses on the dark side. The stories range from the traditional crime fiction to more contemporary, offbeat material. Chris Offutt's work on "True Blood" includes writing Episode 7 "Burning House of Love", and Episode 10 "I Don't Wanna Know". He has worked as the executive story editor for all 12 episodes of "True Blood" and recently he was nominated for the Writers Guild of America Award along side Alan Ball, Brian Buckner, Raelle Tucker, Alexander Woo, and Nancy Oliver. Chris Offutt is an accomplished writer with many books to he name including "No Heroes", "The Good Brother",Out of the Woods: Stories" and "Kentucky Straight: Stories" to name a few. Noir will be on bookshelves September 30, 2009.
