Denis O'Hare Shows His Support For Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS

Denis O'Hare Attends 2010 BC/EFA Flea Market

Denis O'Hare at BC/EFA Flea MarketDenis O'Hare (who plays Russell  Edgington on True Blood) attended the 2010 BC/EFA Flea Market & Grand Auction September 26, 2010.  The flea market and auction were held in Shubert Alley and admission was free for the general public.  Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS is a non-profit AIDS fundraising and grant-making organization.  They have raised over $195 million since 1988 by drawing upon the talents, resources and generosity of the American theatre community.  BC/EFA awards grants to over 400 AIDS and family service organizations annually. To learn more about the organization click here.  The Broadway Flea Market was sponsored by Continental Airlines, The New York Times, Junior's, Discovery Times Square Exposition, A&E Television Networks, and Times Square Alliance. Patrons in the flea market were able to pose for pictures with celebrities, purchase signed playbills and show posters and grab hard to find items for the theater lover in their life.  The main draw of the event was the Grand Auction. Some of the lots that attendees were able to bid on were:
  • Attending the opening nights on Broadway for La Bête, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, The Importance of Being Earnest, Elling, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, Driving Miss Daisy, The Scottsboro Boys and Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark
  • Ozian Backstage Experience - From wardrobe call to final curtain, experience the various backstage workings of this blockbuster musical during an actual performance of Wicked
  • Set visits at "NCIS" and "Modern Family" in Los Angeles
  • A package to go to Las Vegas and see a Cirque du Solei show.
