True Blood's Alan Ball Among Top 50 Showrunners

Behind every great show, is an even greater showrunner - the creator, the head honcho, the ring master who must keep everything running smoothly and successfully. No easy task. The Hollywood Reporter listed their top 50 showrunners currently keeping their shows on the air. Alan Ball made the list for the success of True Blood on HBO. Ball began as a playwright, then moved to sitcoms and feature films, landing an Oscar for the script of "American Beauty." He made is mark when HBO picked up "Six Feet Under" and is now enjoying the frenzy over True Blood. He's working on a pilot script for another series for HBO based on the crime novel "The Mystic Arts of Erasing All Signs of Death" by Charlie Huston. When asked what his favorite TV moment is, Alan references both an episode of South Park and a scene in Breaking Bad.
