Charlaine Harris' Harper Connelly Series to Become a Comic Book

Charlaine Harris is the talented author of the Sookie Stackhouse series. The book series which inspired Alan Ball to create the phenomenal hit HBO series, True Blood. Well now Charlaine is about to make her comic debut with another novel series she has authored, The Harper Connelly Series. Thus far there are two books in this series entitled, "Grave Sight" and "Grave Surprise". The series is about a woman who has the special ability to find the dead. Charlaine explains it like this:
She can sense the final location of a person who's passed, and share their very last moment. The way Harper sees it, she's providing a service to the dead while bringing some closure to the living -- but she's used to most people treating her like a blood-sucking leech. Traveling with her step-brother Tolliver as manager and sometime-bodyguard, she's become an expert at getting in, getting paid, and getting out fast. Because for the living it's always urgent -- even if the dead can wait forever.
Charlaine has been nominated for many awards for her exceptional mystery writing, such as the Agatha Award she is currently nominated for. When asked how she feels about the new comic series, Charlaine explained that she is excited to see her work being used in a different way. She also explained that she feels confident in Dynamite Entertainment, who will be producing the comics. We wish Charlaine the best of luck on this new endeavor with her phenomenal novels!
