She talks about the dangers that whales are facing today by ship strikes, pollution, and being slaughtered needlessly in Japan. Kristin explains that you can help the whales by joining IFAW's grassroots campaign called "Tails for Whales". Anyone who is interested can go to the IFAW's website, www.ifaw.org/whales, and submit a picture of themselves showing their "tail" with their hands. This simple act can have a lasting result on the whale population. According to IFAW's website, all photos are being used to encourage governments around the world to create laws for whale conservation. The more people who show their "tail", the more impact this campaign will have on lawmakers around the world.
