Sookie Stackhouse is going to have several suitors for season 3 of True Blood, and one of them is Alcide Herveux, played by Joe Manganiello. Alcide is a werewolf hired on by vampire Eric Northman to keep Sookie safe as she searches for her boyfriend Bill. (Eric chooses him because Alcide's a good person and very protective, and he also owes Eric a debt.) Joe sees Alcide as having a lot in common with a famous child's toy; a slinky! Joe explained, "I describe [Alcide] as a slinky. It's this coiled piece of metal that when it's coiled a certain way, it can walk downstairs and do these amazing things. But if you were to try and straighten that slinky out, it would cease to be special. That's kind of how I see Alcide in a way — he's this amazing creature trying to live within the confines of human society. It's a lonely existence."Do you think Joe's take on Alcide is a good one?
