Anna Paquin and True Blood costar Grant Bowler are both supporting a wonderful cause. Both will be appearing in the coffee table book The Beauty Book to support finding a cure for cancer. The Beauty Book, compiled by Australian celebrity photographer Darren Tieste, is being used in an effort to raise money for cancer research. Tieste is doing this in honor of his friend Natalie Sattler, who died in 2008 from brain cancer. However, Tieste had a difficult time at first getting celebrities to join his cause, but was eventually helped when his first A-list star (and a former costar of Anna's), Hugh Jackman, agreed to be involved. After that, more people were willing to be involved, and Tieste was able to get Anna to be a part of The Beauty Book. When discussing the coup of getting Anna to join in, he said, "Anna's a great girl, we had three hours with her. She was a big one to get, and the sweetest girl, so down to earth and easy in front of the camera."Thank you, Anna and Grant, for supporting such a great cause, and thank you to Darren Tieste for setting up The Beauty Book. The proceeds from the sale of The Beauty Book will go to charities including SNOG (Sydney Neuro-Oncology Groug) and ABTA(the American Brain Tumor Association).
