Carrie Preston of True Blood Receives Acclaim

arlene2Carrie Preston of True Blood is receiving acclaim for her performance in the movie "Duplicity" which she co-stars with Julia Roberts and Clive Owen. Christopher Rosen from The New York Observer remarks in his article that Carrie Preston should be more famous then she is considering she has performed in various roles. He states that Carrie is one of those actresses that when you first see you say to yourself , you know her and have seen her before but you just don't know where. From "Law & Order," "Desperate Housewives," "Private Practice" to "Transamerica" and "My Best Friend's Wedding" Carrie has appeared in many projects and her talented ability to make her characters come to life has lead her to be cast in Alan Ball hit HBO TV series True Blood. Carrie even appeared on LOST (which stars her husband Michael Emerson as Ben Linus) where (based on her suggestion) she guest stared in the scene as Ben's mother and she gaves birth to him. Mr. Rosen states that Carrie is an extremely talented actress and in "Duplicity" she not only does a great job but she was also able to enhance the performances of both Clive Owen and Julia Roberts. There are two particular scenes in the movie that demonstrated her ability to boost the scenes with her performances. Mr. Rosen states that Carrie was able to
"forces the Oscar-winner (Julia Roberts) to emote pity, anger, sympathy and sadness without saying a single word, and gets one of the biggest laughs in the film while doing it."
While her scene with Clive Owen allowed the actor in the scene to "put his guard down and really have fun." Whatever the future holds for Carrie, her performance on True Blood is wonderful and contributes to the setting of show. As Mr. Rosen states she is a versatile actress who would fit perfectly in any independent movie or as a regular on any number of TV series. Carrie Preston is a shining star and hopefully others will notice her more. SOURCE: The New York Observer (Photo Credit IMDb.com)
