True Blood has New Zealanders Prepared To Stake Vampires

True Blood has New Zealanders prepared to stake vampires just in case they have an encounter with one that wants to take a bite out of them.  Of course we are referring to the media ad campaign that was launched in New Zealand prior to the premiere of Alan Ball's hit HBO TV series True Blood.   True Blood premieres on New Zealand's Prime channel on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at 9:300 pm and as a way to build up the suspense and mystery surrounding the show the media department developed this ad campaign.  Billboard-size walls were erected with a picture depicting a vampire and a hand driving a stake into the heart of a vampire with the words "In case of vampire"  and wooden stakes attached with instructions to "snap here " to use.  A very ingenious marketing campaign that is and sure to create a buzz around True Blood.  Click the photos to enlarge and enjoy them.
