Is Alexander Skarsgard as Eric Northman an Alpha Male?

Is Alexander Skarsgard as Eric Northman an Alpha Male?  That is the question being posed on E! Online: Watch with Kristin website.  The website has round 2 of their Alpha Male Madness: Who's TV's Top Dog Poll and Alexander Skarsgard's role of Eric Northman on True Blood is pitted against Carrie Preston's (Arlene Fowler) husband Michael Emerson who plays the bad guy on LOST as Ben Linus.  It seems funny that of all the other actors that Alexander could be competing with, he is pitted against his co-star's husband.  It seems that there will be a True Blood connection one way or another no matter what the outcome although I think I know who True Blood fans want to see win this poll.
