True Blood's Kristin Bauer van Straten to Attend Los Angeles Night for the Oceans

The Celebrity Supported Annual Fundraiser Will Unveil a New High Speed Sea Vessel

Bauer van Straten is a big supporter of protecting marine lifeKristin Bauer van Straten, who plays sassy vampire Pam on True Blood, will attend the Los Angeles Night for the Oceans, an annual event hosted by Sea Shepard Conservation Society (SSCS). SSCS, whose main mission is to end the destruction of habitat and slaughter of wildlife in the world's oceans, will disclose their new, high speed interceptor vessel, a much anticipated announcement since the previous vessel, Ady Gil, sunk last January. Bauer van Straten is very passionate about the environment and the protection of animals and has been an advocate for Tails for Whales, jewelry created specifically to support International Fund for Animal Welfare's (IFAW) campaign to protect whales. In TBN.com's exclusive Twitter interview with Bauer van Straten on September 27, 2010, fans got a glimpse of how hard she's working to protect the environment and its wildlife. A handful of celebrities will be in attendance to support the SSCS including: Michelle Rodriguez, The Crystal Method, Flea, Isabel Lucas, Daryl Hannah, Beau Bridges, Emily Deschanel and the crew of Whale Wars. The event is being held on October 23, 2010 at a private residence in the Hollywood Hills and attendance is by invitation only.
