Stephen Moyer Talks About His Dogs and Boxing

Stephen MoyerStephen Moyer who plays the charismatic vampire Bill Compton on Alan Ball's hit HBO TV drama True Blood recently spoke about his dogs Splash and Banjo and his love for boxing.  It seems the two dogs have been causing problems with their neighbors with their loud barking and they have been sent to a doggy boot camp.  Stephen states:
"Right now, Splash is in Los Angeles in boot camp with my new dog Banjo. They don't really get on." "Splash is a grumpy old f**ker. Banjo has been doing what all puppies do, p**sing and s**ting everywhere, eating everything that comes to his realm, including Anna's shoes. "We had a nasty letter from a few neighbors saying, 'Please, please can you stop them from barking or we're going to have to call the police. We say this with love, but please.' "
Stephen also discusses with Esquire magazine his love for boxing that began a long time with his grandfather.  Stephen states that he was very close to his granddad who was a boxer and a coach and spent time with him training in his youth.  Stephen explains that if he had not became an actor he would have pursued a career in boxing.  Luckily for us True Blood fans Stephen did pursue an acting career allowing us all to enjoy his superb performances.  However, boxing is not completely out of his life.
"I'm not by any means a fighter, but I love it. HBO, which makes our show, does all of the boxing in America so I'm getting to train with Freddie Roach, who trains Amir Khan."
