Hi
True Blood fans!
Episode 7 entitled "
Release Me" should have been entitled "Betrayals". Ok here we go, so many betrayals, I will again go into sections of characters, and how their story has expanded from
Episode 6. Firstly, I have had comments regarding the orgy. Some people thought it wasn't appropriate to the plot, personally I quite enjoyed it, it is 18 rated after all. Also as will be explained later with
Maryann's chapter here, why I think it was a interesting part of the story line.
JASON
Jason is totally unaware that
Sookie is being held captive in the basement. So
Jason being
Jason yet again satisfies his lust this time with
Sarah.
Sarah now believes she is in love for the first time, such intensity she says, (well he has been with a few
Fangbangers), or maybe just that
Jason can't keep it in his pants for long. I don't think love is on
Jason's agenda just yet. Feeling guilty
Jason decides to leave
The Fellowship of the Sun, not trying to hide the fact that he is carrying his suitcase with him. He is followed by
Steve and
Gabe, who then force him into the van, then they interrogate him at knife point. Now
Jason isn't the smartest of people, he assumes that they know about him and
Sarah and when asked which group he is working for, he says "roadcrew" more in the tone like "I haven't a clue"...ingenious. The fact that he is
Sookie's brother they obviously think he is a traitor.
Jason manages to escape after fighting with Gabe and is seen walking down a country lane when a set of car headlights come behind him. It's
Sarah, he is safe now... nope...
Sarah gun in hand, aims and fires, shooting
Jason. IS THIS THE END OF THE LINE FOR
JASON? I hope not, he is one of my favorite characters.
JESSICA and HOYT
So it is revealed that
Hoyt is a virgin as he and
Jessica lay in bed together and he still remains a virgin. Well she hasn't been turned on apparently as "no fangs are appearing".
Jessica awakes to the sound of "Bleeding Love " (how romantic is that), and it works to them both in the mood. Will
Hoyt still be a virgin next week or a
vampire?
TARA and EGGS Memory loss again, if you going to be in a orgy, at least you would like to remember it. Upon waking next morning on the couch together, not remembering how they got there.
Maryann arrives, feet covered in blood and they don't even notice, god they must be stoned.
Maryann then cheerfully holds up the roadkill, that or it is just a bad "Hare" day.
Tara has a rather strange conversation with
Arlene in
Sam's back room.
Arlene confesses that she thinks she has had her wicked way with
Terry Bellefleur, but she can't remember. You would think
Tara would put two and two together and think, "Oh I think I blacked out last night, I don't remember the orgy. Either the SEX is so bad that it's not worth remembering or why bother giving them any at all.
LAFAYETTE Well he is back to himself now, eyelash curlers and all.
ANDY Andy maybe the town drunk, but he is the only one who remembers anything. He tries to tell
Sheriff Bud Dearborne about all the going on in
Bon Temps, how all the people are zombies with saucer black eyes, and the bull mask, and long claws. Now be honest would you believe him! He seems to be the only sane person left.
SOOKIE and HUGO
Sookie and
Hugo are still confined to the basement, but hey they have fun games to play with like, Jesus Christ
Vampire exterminator, Silver and Stake or maybe Send em back to Hell.
Hugo has a panic attack. She doesn't suspect
Hugo is the traitor until she reads his thoughts.
Hugo however thinks he is protected by
Steve and
Gabe. So when they arrive in the basement,
Sookie thinks they know who she is and that is why they have taken her. However, it's not until
Hugo reveals that she is
Sookie Stackhouse, Jason's sister, that look of surprise on
Steve's face, says that he has other intentions for
Sookie as he didn't even know who she was.
Sookie manages to send a telepathic message to
Barry to let
Bill know she is in danger.
Gabe returns and after beating
Hugo, he turns his attentions to
Sookie, thinking she needs a real man, will
Sookie be raped by
Gabe? (tell you later)
ERIC Eric intercepts the message from
Barry and realizes that
Sookie is in danger. He and
Isabel are waiting at the
Fellowship of the Sun to see if
Godric (
Eric's maker) has been kidnapped for the lock in, and for the subsequent next day "chaining of the
vampire to the cross till dawn."
Eric doesn't want to intervene until he knows that
Godric is safe, yet he fiercely loyal to his maker. He tells
Isobel that he doesn't see the boys in the camp as any threat. He asks
Isobel why she has a human companion, as they grow old quickly, and a 70 year old woman is not sexually appealing to him.
Isobel is unaware that
Hugo her human is not so loyal after all !
BILL and LORENA
Bill and
Lorena in Los Angles 1935,
Lorena brings
Bill a present. It is a girl victim, who apparently smells of apricots? While
Bill refuses to bite her and sets her free,
Lorena says it your nature to bite or you will starve. Was this before the invention of the
TruBlood drink for
vampires?
Bill regains his humanity and seems to be more human than
vampire with the ability to love.
Lorena seems to be incapable of it, yet she wants
Bill by her side now so desperately.
Bill's intention of a stake through the heart to kill himself, is enough to convince her to set
Bill free, free from his obligation to her as his maker and live his undead life as he pleases. To present day she still says she desperately wants him by her side, after 70 years of not seeing him. It transpires that it is
Eric who has tried to make
Lorena make
Bill want her, as he has is eye on
Sookie for himself. Yet
Eric tells
Isobel that he isn't interested in
Sookie, when it is clear that he is and wanting her all to himself. Love surely not. Lust or just blood lust, I think he is just inquisitive of what it would be like with
Sookie, but
Eric gets bored easily. Being an older
vampire Lorena overpowers
Bill when
Barry knocks at the door to relay the message from
Sookie that she is in danger.
Lorena still holds
Bill captive and fails to convince him her love for him with
Bill stating he never has or ever will love her. Will
Bill be able to escape from
Lorena grasps to save
Sookie?
SAM and DAPHNE The scars on
Daphne's back are due to
Maryann (yeah we get it now we have seen the long claws on
Maryann), but she didn't kill
Daphne, and
Daphne loves
Maryann for that!
Sam feels betrayed by
Daphne, understandably. She reveals to
Sam that
Maryann wants him so badly because she can't have him (don't we all!). He escaped her evil clutches years ago, and she wants him back, she can't control him or get in his head, like all the other people of
Bon Temps. Only the people with supernatural powers can resist her.
MARYANN The final betrayal.
Maryann has
Daphne killed? That's all
True Blood fans for this week. See you all next week I hope to discuss
episode 8. Cheers! Annsarocker
