Michael McMillian's New Comic Book Series

Michael McMillian, True Blood's Fellowship of the Sun leader, Steve Newlin, adds author to his resume.  His new comic book series is titled LUCID and publisher Archaia Comics announced at WonderCon 2010 this month that the comic series will launch in August.  Advance copies will be for sale at their booth at Comic Con in San Diego in July. An article by Comic Book Resources recaps the Archaia announcement:
"This August, a new series called "LUCID" will debut, written by Michael McMillan with art by Anna Wieszczyk in association with Zachary Quinto and his production company. Described as a pop-action fantasy and "James Bond with magic powers," Stephen pointed out that the art of the book is very reminiscent of the popular manga series "Cowboy Bebop." Each issue will be standalone, but will all be linked together in telling one larger story."
According to Multiversity Comics,
"LUCID is set in a world where magic exists and centers on Matthew Dee, a combat mage who serves as the U.S. President's first line of defense!"
Unlike his alter ego, Steve Newlin, it seems that Michael does have an affinity for magical creatures after all. SOURCE:   comicbookresources.com multiversitycomics.com (Photo credit:  fellowshipofthesun.org)
