Sad News as True Blood Stuntwoman Killed in Motorcycle Accident

Very sad news to report as a True Blood stuntwoman, 28 year old April Stirton, was killed in a motorcycle accident Tuesday morning on US Highway 101 in Studio City, California. Reports state that Ms. Stirton was riding her Yamaha Roadstar westbound on the Ventura freeway  when she lost control of her bike and fell to the ground at more than 55 miles an hour and was hit by the rear wheels of a tow truck with her motorcycle ending up being wedged under a big rig. Officers at the scene state that Ms. Stirton was dragged under the tow truck for more than 100 feet before the driver was able to stop the vehicle. Sadly Ms. Stirton was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Not only did Ms. Stirton work as a stuntwoman for True Blood but also worked on several movies and popular TV shows such as "See How The Run," Circle of Eight," and "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation." We send out our heartfelt condolences to her family, friends and co-workers. SOURCE: ktla.com (Photo credit: IMDb.com)
